Food and Shoes

I love both food and shoes and combining them for eating and wearing isn't generally a good idea so have some photos instead!
The first pair of shoes is from Dilly Dolls.  Original mesh, lots of colors available, awesome as always.  She tends to do items in color options for everyone, from dark, goth colors to sweet, pastel colors.  You can pretty much find any color you want.  My food choice here is the pizza from Scarlet Apple currently at Collabor88.  What can I say, I love pizza.  It has steam coming off of it inworld but I turned particles off for the photo out of habit so you can't see it here.
The second pair you probably already have and know about but when I thought burger and fries I thought drive-in rollerskating waitress.  They are from The Secret Store, there are a million colors, they were for The Arcade but that is over now.  My burger and fries (and cute little ketchup packets!) are from Pilot and were a past FLF item.  So cute!!
OK, back to taking more pictures of shoes.  I really love shoes and it is time I gave them some more love.  More details below!
Worn:
Heels: Dilly Dolls, lots of color options and packs available
Roller Skates: The Secret Store, gacha from past Arcade, not sure if still available but I will check when I log in next and update then.
Burger Meal: Pilot
Pizza: Scarlet Apple @ Collabor88 (ends today I think)
Leggings: Sn@tch
Stocking: Sheer
Skin: Not available

Hearts and Stuff

Well.  My computer seems to be going down the drain.  I have been trying to get a picture of this dress from Dilly Dolls for days but crashed every time I set my graphics above medium.  I kept trying because I love, love, love it and eventually got an acceptable picture, but without shadows or fancy lighting.  So, what you see is what you'll get! Haha.  I am wearing this light-colored version of the dress but there are several color packs to choose from.  As with most dilly dolls products, the boots I am wearing included, the dress has a hud to allow you to customize the color of each part of the look.  With this dress you also get the option to hide the top, skirt or both so you can wear it with many different looks.  I love that!  I thought my cute, braided hair from Wasabi Pills and my glossy skin from Al Vulo added an extra sweetness to this saccharine festival.
The adorable little conversations hearts wall hanging was a hunt gift from Alouette.  This is from the For the Love Of Hunt, which is not associated with the past FTLO hunts.  You are looking for a little house as the hunt item.  My table with all the little doo dads on it is a marketplace cheapie from a new-to-me store called Follow Us! and it even has more bits to it that aren't shown here.  I was bored one night and roaming around the Marketplace and saw a freebie from them.  I popped over to the store and was like WHOA at all the cute little thingies for free or cheap.  Fun times!
Anyway, have fun and if I don't see ya tomorrow, Happy Valentine's Day!
WORN:
Dress and Boots: Dilly Dolls
Wall hanging: Alouette, hunt gift

How Do You Afford Your Rock and Roll Lifestyle?

I was talking to someone on Plurk recently about how we are both sort of stuck in the 90's.  It's true, it really is.  I think, to an extent, people tend to have some sort of subconscious preference for a lot of things that were around when they were developing into an adult.  Like, my mom is really fashionable, totally with the times, but I can often see some hint of the 70s in what she likes.  With me, I find myself most excited about things that are from about 1994-2001 or so.  I remember wanting to be Gwen Stefani SO BAD when Tragic Kingdom came out.  I wore plaid pants and tank tops whenever I could for so long, haha.  Even well into high school I would bedazzle my bra straps so when they stuck out they were sparkly like hers were back then.  I totally should still do that. D:
Anyway, these plaid pants from Dilly Dolls reminded me of those times a lot.  I love how they have a curvier shape to them than most brands I have been seeing these days.  They also super pegged on the bottom so you can wear them under boots!  The sizes run a bit weird, like I usually have to wear a small or medium in pants but I wore an extra small with these.  Comes with all sizes though, so woo!  My sweater is the weekly special from Sn@tch and in several collar/cuff texture choices.  Currently 75L per size.  More info. below!
Worn:
Pants: Dilly Dolls (160L right now for the full pack of ten colors of the plaid.  Other style packs available.)
Shirt: Sn@tch (Currently 75L per size with four styles included.)

Wintery and Kitteny And Stuff

I heard some people chatting about how they couldn't find ice skates they liked so I thought I would show these bad boys from Dilly Dolls in case anyone else is looking.  There is a gacha with a zillion colors (and exclusive patterns) where you can get them for 50L a pop.  You can also do like I did, since I am lazy and impatient haha, and just pay 100L to get a pack with multiple colors.  :P  The skates come with a hud that has options for size and 12 different colors.  Other styles and colors for men and women are available in the store as well.

My friend Sanura gave me this adorable gingerbread cookie KittyCat and I wanted to show him in my picture too since I was feeling all wintery.  If you don't want to do the whole raising/breeding/feeding thing you can get a little shoulder pet guy like the one in the Santa hat for free at the RFL Xmas Expo!  To keep yourself from nibbling on the cookie kitty and to warm up on skating breaks you can grab a cookie and hot cocoa from the What Next tray.  Steam or no steam options, it gives out drinks on touch, and it only has a land impact of three. :D
Worn/Used:
Ice Skate Boots: Dilly Dolls, 100L a pack for this style
Food and Tray: What Next
Tights: Jane
Cookie Cat: KittyCats (breedable pet, style of cookie chosen at random)
Santa Cat: KittyCats, free @ Xmas Expo

This Is Halloween-ish

Hiiiiiii!  I have some new mesh lovelies and a couple free things and all the awesome sauce for you today.  My dress and boots are both mesh and both from Dilly Dolls, though they are in different places.  The dress is one of the colors available of the new mesh dresses from DD at the Cinema event.  If you haven't been to this event...why not!?  There is really something for everyone.  The boots are a remake of the Sonata boots that I adored when they were first made with sculpts.  This time around you have the ability to use a hud to change the color of every part of the boot.  The stripes can change to one solid color or alternating colors.  You can also change the color of the boot trim and the buttons going up the back of the boot. Then at the Zodiac event is this lovely hair from Alice Project.  It is texture change via hud as most of Alice's hair is.  There is a style with bangs on it available as well.
My skin is a hunt gift from Fierce in the Resting Place event.  The event is like a haunted house/maze/puzzle game and the prizes aren't that easy to find in many cases but the event is great, prizes or not.  My lollipop is from the annual free Halloween treat bucket at Schadenfreude.  Get the bucket for 0L, click it, get yourself some fun stuff!
Enjoy!
Worn:
Dress: Dilly Dolls @ Cinema

Flowery

I have a few new things and some not so new things that I put together today for just a fun LOTD.  My dress is not new but it's something that Draconic Kiss released a few months ago that I fell in love with, meant to blog, lost in my inventory, found in my inventory, got too busy in SL and RL to blog, forgot about it, then found again.  *Runs out of breath*  So anyway, it's about time I posted it!  I am wearing the option with the purple belt and flowers because I thought it was cool how well it matched the purple option of the new Dilly Dolls shoes.
Speaking of Dilly Dolls, check out these shoes up close below.  There are color change with a bunch of bright colors to choose from and you can change the color of the buckle independently.  These are available at Vintage Fair for now and there is another pair with skulls on it there too you might want to check out.
My hair is also from Vintage Fair, this time by one of my fave stores, Alice Project.  Each hair style comes with a mini-pack of colors but if you are a VIP group member (250L join fee) there is a special VID hud with some fun color combos in it too. (not to mention the fact there is a special VIP only MM board prize and also Alice gives out gifts sometimes too :3)  Alice has several styles at the fair, this being just one of my faves.

Grabbed

All content creators in SL have had to watch over their shoulders all the time to make sure their content isn't being stolen.  This is, unfortunately, useless.  People can steal easily and they do it often.  My items have been stolen and I am not even a big shop at all.  It doesn't affect me much other than making me cry and feel bad and want to quit.  For others, who make their RL incomes in SL, it can be devastating.  Most often stores are able to keep going even with the stolen items circulating because people want to support the original creator.  With the current case of Curio vs. Hush skins that isn't the case.  Hush has gone so far as to file a false copyright and get Gala's skins removed completely from the grid, giving her no chance to try and keep going.  It's appalling but it's happened before.  Because SL is all over the world, when this sort of thing happens people can't afford to fight in other countries.  This time we as a community will help the fight.
The One Voice fundraiser is here to help Gala Phoenix go to Canada and fight these false claims in court.  This international fight could set a new precedent and is extremely important to any content creator in SL and any other virtual world.  Whether you agree with Gala or not it's something you'll want to follow.  I am very tired and can't speak well on the subject but my pal Eden at Free*Style has explained things pretty well HERE with links to other information on the subject as well.  The fundraiser has some amazing items at great prices with 50%-100% of each item being donated to Gala Phoenix to help her fight this thief.  I hope you'll check it out, even if it's just to grab pretty things.
Worn:
Dress: League @ One Voice, multiple wear options
Hair: Exile @ One Voice, multiple colors included
Corset: Dilly Dolls, new release, color change SO AWESOME!  There are a bazillion options and the mesh is lovely.  Another color is available as a VIP group gift with a join fee.
Skin and Lipstick: Adore&Abhor, lipstick is a group gift in the VIP notices (50L join fee but more gifts coming soon!)
Eyebrow Remover and Eyebrows, Miss Shippe's Studio, the eyebrow remover is included in the pack of eyebrows but you can also get an eyebrow remover for 20L I think it is on its own.
Mesh Eyes: Dilly Dolls, you can change each eye color individually, so cool

I Can't Help But Smile.

I have a secret.  Usually when I take photos I take them from the waist up.  Why?  Because I hate trying to find shoes to wear. You have to find the right style, then it has to be the right color, then it has to fit, then you might even have to match the skin color.  Ugh.  Too much work.  Every once in a while I will like a shoe enough to not only wear it but to actually take a photo of it and write words and stuff.   The latest shoe to make me smiley-happy-writey-bloggy?  Kalnins Lizette.
I am wearing the fat pack version here.  It comes with a hud that allows you to change the skin tone, nail colors, metal colors and options to change three separate areas of the shoe/strap colors.  There are about a kazillion color combinations you could make with the 12 color choices.  I've showed a few of my faves here.  The pair on the far right has the "shiny" option enabled, which gives the whole shoe a more "glossy" appearance.  If you don't need ALL the colors you can choose the classic pack which comes with red, gold and black, pretty much the necessary show colors for any woman.
I found the hud to be easy and the scripts didn't lag me even when I went to take shadow pics.   The classic pack is only 475L, which is a pretty dang good deal.  The fatpack is 1200L which is also a pretty great deal considering you get what amounts to a bazillion gazillion shoe options. xD  Oh, and the skin tinting was easy.  Really easy.  I wouldn't have blogged these shoes if it wasn't because if I can't get the feet tinted properly on any shoe within a MAXIMUM of 5 minutes they go in the trash. :P

This Isn't a Fashion Post

I was just hanging out at the Onyx Noir sim the other day (I have a small store there, plus the sim has Dilly Dolls main store on it, one of my fave stores in SL) and realized how adorable it is looking for the Halloween season.  I took some photos and thought, heck, might as well blog them.  I love how chaotic the area is, with the clashing textures, bright colors, oversize items, mismatched themes, etc.  It creates this atmosphere of mild insanity mixed with a cutesy attitude.
onyx_005
I love this giant Octopus!  Can I keep him? D:
onyx_003
All the small shops are in these wagons.  I think they are so cute and they add to the clash of themes that makes this place so fun.

Anyway, check out Onyx Noir HERE.  :D

Shoe Fair Roller Derby

Um how awesome are these roller skates from Dilly Dolls? Pretty awesome I'd say. I would say I want them in RL but I would probably end up in a cast like my av here. I should also add that these awesome sauces are color change on every part via a hud and are the Dilly Dolls charity donation item. Get the Sn@tch knee pads too in case you are as clumsy as I am!

Gummi Gummi Gum

It's never too cold to look cute. This new dress from Deviant Girls, shoes from Dilly Dolls, and skin from JeSyLiLo make for a great look for any season. The new skins from JeSyLiLo are perfect for the season. They are soft and feminine and have that flushed "been in the snow waiting for my boyfriend to pick me up and take me out to dinner" look. The bodies come in matte and shiny versions which is a great option to have when you like to take lots of photos and need options. The makeups have lots of shine and lean toward the pastel colors. Winter releases tend to have dark, matte makeups generally but the glimmer and gloss on these should be appreciated by those attending holiday parties as well as those living in countries currently having their summer.I am showing several different makeups but there are more tones and options and each makeup includes a hair base and cleavage option as well. I know I recently blogged skins from JeSyLiLo and I try not to post too much of one store in a row but this new line is so adorable it really needed to be shown!

Look At This F*cking Wannabe Hipster

Just kidding, I don't want to be a hipster. I'm way too bubbly and I know way too little about current music and such, lol! But what I *DO* want is the creator of Alphavillain, Laika Saintlouis, to make more items for his store ASAP!The vintage feel of the vest and glasses currently available make me long for thrift store shopping, half broken typewriters and coffee. The prices are way affordable (80L for the glasses and individual vest or 160L for a fat pack of vests), the items are totally unisex and there are lots of layer/size options. A very exciting beginning store!
