Blocking the Door

  So, I know this picture is weird with the table blocking the door, but I really liked the way it looked so...whatever. :P
  Anyway, I really love these hunt items from The Artist Shed.  I really could say that about any item they release though so not surprising. Not sure what to say other than much pretty, go get.
  The cross thing is meant to be carried but it looks weird on my avatar so I wanted to use it for something else. It can be found in this really cool hunt on the Hakoniwa sim called The Dark Forest hunt. Grab the hunt and search the sim for lots of gifts. The sim is so cool and the hunt is pretty fun so even if you aren't interested in the gifts you should check it out anyway.

The Artist Shed Appreciation

  Every time I see a new release from The Artist Shed I get excited.  All the items are well made, creative, and affordable.  This season has been so great because not only is the store releasing a lot of items, so many of them are free or cheap. Like...what the heck? How can a store be that generous? I know these things take a billion years to create and to constantly be giving them away (and at least one of her latest releases had proceeds going to charity as well) is a really nice thing to do.
  I wanted to show a little appreciation for all the hard work and generosity I see from The Artist Shed.  Here are some recent things I picked up.  I am not the greatest photographer when it comes to home items (or...anything really lol) but these items are so nice the photo is entirely unedited, aside from cropping. I think the photo turned out decent despite my lack of skill!
  So, yeah, thanks to The Artist Shed for making my SL a little better every month.  Stores that bring originality and creativity to SL is what has kept me coming back for over 12 years!

The Bench is not from The Artist Shed, it is from Love Everlasting for the Lone Oak Harbor hunt. It's a nice bench and I am happy with it as it only cost 1L. I want to take a second though and complain about the hunt itself.  Slurls used on all the hunt websites are outdated. The Flickr account doesn't have every hunt item shown, for one, but most importantly there is no slurl to the sim on any of the official pictures. The sim is massive and semi-laggy and the items are not only hidden but spread out really far between.  The hunt object is very difficult to find not just because it is hidden like all hunt items, not just because it is a neutral color that blends into many of the items on the sim, not just because some of the locations are really stupid hard, but my biggest problem is that it doesn't rez unless you're really close to it. So you can't just wander around and look, you have to zoom cose to everything.  Argh. It took my like a half hour to find two items that I wanted.  Two. I found some other chests (the hunt object) but they weren't items I wanted, and frankly I didn't even find many of those.  I never complain about this stuff, ever. I generally only post positive things. But ffs this was too much not to complain about Bleh.  Sorry to end my happy post on a negative note, I just needed to rant about that. :P

Feeling Green

  So how excited am I about Halloween coming up? The answer is Very.  I am very excited. October is the absolute best time in SL for me. The events! The gifts!  The shopping!  The spookily decorated sims! Even looking through Flickr at what all the people I am following post is a spooky SL fashion lover's dream. I cannot wait!
  The stuff I am wearing today is a mix of very old and very new. Yes, I know I have been doing a lot of old and some unavailable items lately, but I can't help it. Bakes on Mesh coming out has made me incredibly nostalgic. I keep digging out my old favorites and swooning over them. It has actually encouraged me to start creating again so watch out soon for lots of gifties coming your way, made by yours truly!

In the Shadows

  It's almost the start of spooky season, my favorite time of the year in real life and in second life.  My birthday is in October, Halloween is in October, a buttload of my family and friends were born in October, the weather is (mostly) lovely, the smell of leaves is fantastic, fall fruit is great, pumpkin spice season is around, I can wear my hoodies and sweaters, no more dripping sweat and paying for air conditioning, all this and more. Gosh I love fall and October especially.  It's almost here!
  To celebrate spooky season almost being upon us I did a nice, dark look.  Some gifts included in the items too so that's cool!  I normally don't do dark lighting like this so I am a little nervous but I hope it worked out ok.

Bakes on Mesh is Freaking Amazing

  So if you're looking for new release reviews or whatever then move along, lol. I just really want to talk about how much I love Bakes on Mesh. I know everyone else is but...I want to so whatever. XD  I have been posting things on Flickr about it, such as HERE and HERE, and probably will continue to. I just love it so much.  I practically cried when I was able to wear my freckles again. Here is just a fun look I put together:

  It's a completely unedited photo (aside from cropping and resizing, which don't really count) so things aren't perfect. But someone in Flickr mentioned they liked unedited pics so I thought I should give it a go. :)
  Now, things with Bakes On Mesh aren't perfect. If you remember back in the day before mesh body parts you'll remember that we had ugly flipper feet and low rez hands. That required different texturing than we do now. So old skins look...not great on modern hands and feet. Check this mess out:

    Some of this can be very easily fixed by creators who want to re-release old stuff. For stuff that isn't going to be re-released you just have to get a bit more creative with nails and tinting and other such things. :) 

  Anyway, I am excited to try this more and really pumped to see what happens with it in the future. Most of the stuff is no longer available but I will give some details where I can. Enjoy!

Foxy Summer

  Hey summer pals! Before the Second Life birthday event ends you need to go! Got a couple of freebies here to make sure you snag (all but one of the booths has a gift though so catch 'em all like they are Pokemon!) I have some fun goodies from other places to show you as well.

Angelic Fuel

  The nude lipsticks from Pink Fuel made me feel very clean and fresh. I went to Bare Rose to find something young and sweet but somehow ended up as an angelic nun. Works for me!  I think the look of someone who is in a nun outfit but looks a but like an update young Pamela Anderson is fun. :P

Pink Fuel and More

  Hi all! I got this awesome skin from Pink Fuel for Skin Fair and I am all about it! I put together a look with freebies I got so enjoy some fun!

  This skin is Emiri. It was originally a gacha skin in three tones (those tones are still in the gacha only) but now this skin has been expanded to include a billion other tones for purchase. It comes with several brow colors, a no brow option, and 9 lipsticks. It's a pretty good deal and very high quality.  It's for the Genus head only so keep that in mind!
  My hair and earrings are from Analog Dog and Romanzi at the Imaginarium. You have to join the Gimme Gacha group to grab them. The place was surprisingly empty considering the adorable gachs items for sale and the ton of gifts. Check it out if you can! My head jewel thing is a fishing prize at Sn@tch. I love it so much. I always try to hit up the fishing area at Sn@tch each round and the initial pole purchase cost has been repaid over and over many times over the years.

  Hello! I have found tons of cute home goods lately for free/cheap. I know I am not the best home goods blogger but I want to attempt! In the Pink

  Hello all! I haven't done a straight up gift post in a while so here I go! A few of these come from the SaNaRae event.  All the creators there are super cute so go and buy things and not just grab the gifts. :P I initially went there to grab some adorable ice cream treats from the Yokai gacha but then I saw they had a bunch of gifts for the SaNaRae update group there too (just wear the group tag and click the snowmen). Nice.

  I love this awesome background set gift from Anxiety.  Every month they have creative and fun gifts. I'm sure a million people blogged it already because it's great but whatever I want to also. :P

ZOMG

 I will probably use this skin and makeup in more posts so that I can show it better but I had to take a pic and mess with it RIGHT AWAY because I love them so much. This is very much one of my favorite skins in SL right now.  And this lipstick? Flawless.  Pink Fuel never fails.  What's her magic secret? IDK but I am jealous and grateful at the same time.  I thought the vintage feel of this skin would work with this cool hair from Besom. I look like a sex kitten, meow!

  The skin comes in 11 different skin tones, which is better than a lot of brands TBH.  There are a whole bunch of eyebrow color options, including a no eyebrow options which is great for when I want to use eyebrow appliers! The makeups are included separately from the base skin, whereas they are usually all together, so the price point is lower than ones where everything is included together.
  My lipstick is from the Pin-Up Pout pack at the Harajuku event. There are a butt load of color options to begin with and then there is a tintable option also. Nice! There is a choice of how much coverage you want also, from full to ombre with some other choices in between.  Pink Fuel also likes to give us options and I am very happy with that.
  I am feeling the mismatched eyes every time I wear the Catwa head and IDK why.  Whatever the reason, Banana Banshee has me covered again.  Their appliers for the Orlah pack include options to choose left and right eye color separately (as well as light or dark versions.) You can buy them in single colors as well but where is the fun in that? :P
  Not gonna lie, I have no idea when or where I got this Besom hair.  I did a peek around the store and didn't find it.  If anyone can help me out by telling me if it's still available I would much appreciate it.  Thanks! :D

Squid Head

  What a title, huh? Haha! Anyway, creepy isn't for only one time of the year.  For me, I enjoy a good mix of creepy and silly all year 'round. This hat is a great mix of both! It's only available at The Epiphany until the 12th so go grab it now!
  This lipstick by Pink Fuel is available now, and not for a limited time.  It comes with 11 colors (and ombre options!) for a ton of different heads. I am using it on a Catwa head atm but I love it on my Genus head too. If you have other heads brands too then the package probably contains an applier for it. :P

  I have to say I love when brands do Catwa specific appliers for eyes.  These Banana Banshee eyes are in a package that includes Catwa appliers and I am happy about it.  It helps me because...I am too lazy to mess with other appliers or mesh eyes. :P  I am wearing eyes from two different sets in this but each set comes with multiple colors as is.
