Blocking the Door

  So, I know this picture is weird with the table blocking the door, but I really liked the way it looked so...whatever. :P
  Anyway, I really love these hunt items from The Artist Shed.  I really could say that about any item they release though so not surprising. Not sure what to say other than much pretty, go get.
  The cross thing is meant to be carried but it looks weird on my avatar so I wanted to use it for something else. It can be found in this really cool hunt on the Hakoniwa sim called The Dark Forest hunt. Grab the hunt and search the sim for lots of gifts. The sim is so cool and the hunt is pretty fun so even if you aren't interested in the gifts you should check it out anyway.

The Geeks Were Right

  Hi all! I decided that I wanted a bit more challenge than usual so I came up with a plan. For my next few posts I am putting my Spotify playlist on random and whatever song plays is the song I will use as inspiration for a blog post. I am NOT going to necessarily use the imagery or literal lyrics from the songs.

Batty FOTD

  FOTD=Face of the Day, not "Food of the Day" as one might think, should they know me. Though, I DO have some fantastic s'mores I made in the microwave right now, nom nom. Annnnyway...
   I have a couple bat-related items on that I am very excited to have. My eyes are a gift from A.D.D. Andel for Trick or Treat Lane. Also a gift from ToTL is my septum piercing from Purrrrfect Kitties. I am sure I will post many more bat-related goodies soon. I just can't help myself.
  My glasses are a group gift from Leronso. The frames change color and you have the sunglasses lens option as well.  There are some cool gifts from the past there as well. Some unique skins so check it out.

Angelic Fuel

  The nude lipsticks from Pink Fuel made me feel very clean and fresh. I went to Bare Rose to find something young and sweet but somehow ended up as an angelic nun. Works for me!  I think the look of someone who is in a nun outfit but looks a but like an update young Pamela Anderson is fun. :P

Collecting

  I love the MadPea adventure games. This month's game was one of my faves so far.  The sets for the game were so pretty!!  I wanted to wear something simple and cute to do the hunt, no mesh body parts or anything crazy to cause more lag than I already was going to experience, and I found these things in my recent item folder to make a cute (and affordable!) look.

  I took so many pictures of the last portion of the event, being careful to not show spoilers of course, and I took forever whittling it down to four options.  I was trying to decide which one to use when I realized that three of them had massive mistakes in them.  So that was decided LOL.  I liked them a lot though so I am putting the three unedited shots in one here.

  I highly recommend you check out The Collection game if you have some extra Ls and a couple hours free time to spare.  I chose the silver package because I wanted some prizes and was too broke to afford the gold at the time LOL.  If you can afford the gold, however, you should go for it because the creators are fantastic!  Check out the beginner's how to guide HERE and feel free to join the MadPea group for help or even ask me for tips if you see me online.  Enjoy!

My Husband Says This Purse Is Awesome

  So my husband said this purse is cool and I agree.  It's one of several "mouths" you can get at Pixicat for Kustom 9.  There are four lip versions and you can get choose from three color packs for each one and there are all kind of other options like piercings!  Pretty dang cool.
  My shorts are from Moon Amore.  I love the lace on these.  I wish I could wear lace shorts in RL but...uh...ain't nobody wanna see that. The price is way better in SL than it is in RL anyway, seeing as you get 10 colors for 150L, so whatevs, haha!

  My hair is from LaNoir Soleil Designs.  I blogged them HERE before when showing their prize for The Lost Mine Hunt and I stopped into the store again and am now basically in love.  Who doesn't love finding mesh hair places they didn't know about before?

Hunter/Gatherer/Warrior

  So I finished the Lost Mine hunt from Mad Pea.  I didn't think I would.  It was hard.  I almost gave up.  but I didn't.  And I finished.  And there was joy.  Joy!  I'm glad I did the whole thing because there are lots of awesome gifts at the end for men, women, and other. I love this hair with crown so much.  The hair is color change to several different standard colors so if you don't like white don't worry. :P  I love this crown too but if you want a bolder, crazier head piece with more evil horn awesome there is a different one included as well.  The HUD for the hunt costs 150L but it's super worth it because 1. The game is fun and 2. The prizes are super cool.

  My skin is from MudSkin, which used to be My UglyDorothy.  Just as I typed this I realized My UglyDorothy could be abbreviated as MUD and now I feel like oh, derp.  LOL.  Anyway, this skin is available in this tone only at The Men's Department (which is kind of weird because it's a lady skin but there is also a male skin for sale there so maybe that's why?)  The skin is on the cheap for the duration of the event so if you want a deal get it now.  There are a few eye/lip options and eyebrow color choices included, as well as a shape and freckle layers.  It also comes with an additional version in the pack for free for the event only.

Working

  The worst part of working on something all day is when you try to sit down and relax you still see the task every time you close your eyes.  I feel like the shadow angle here (one of the Bryn Oh ones on firestorm, I can't remember which) makes it look like, even though the avatar has her eyes closed and is taking a break from work, the shadow of herself is still concentrated on working.
  Today is a break from things for me in a way so I am keeping the writing to a minimum and will just let you read the details below.

Hearts and Stuff

  Well.  My computer seems to be going down the drain.  I have been trying to get a picture of this dress from Dilly Dolls for days but crashed every time I set my graphics above medium.  I kept trying because I love, love, love it and eventually got an acceptable picture, but without shadows or fancy lighting.  So, what you see is what you'll get! Haha.  I am wearing this light-colored version of the dress but there are several color packs to choose from.  As with most dilly dolls products, the boots I am wearing included, the dress has a hud to allow you to customize the color of each part of the look.  With this dress you also get the option to hide the top, skirt or both so you can wear it with many different looks.  I love that!  I thought my cute, braided hair from Wasabi Pills and my glossy skin from Al Vulo added an extra sweetness to this saccharine festival.

  The adorable little conversations hearts wall hanging was a hunt gift from Alouette.  This is from the For the Love Of Hunt, which is not associated with the past FTLO hunts.  You are looking for a little house as the hunt item.  My table with all the little doo dads on it is a marketplace cheapie from a new-to-me store called Follow Us! and it even has more bits to it that aren't shown here.  I was bored one night and roaming around the Marketplace and saw a freebie from them.  I popped over to the store and was like WHOA at all the cute little thingies for free or cheap.  Fun times!

This Is Halloween-ish

Hiiiiiii!  I have some new mesh lovelies and a couple free things and all the awesome sauce for you today.  My dress and boots are both mesh and both from Dilly Dolls, though they are in different places.  The dress is one of the colors available of the new mesh dresses from DD at the Cinema event.  If you haven't been to this event...why not!?  There is really something for everyone.  The boots are a remake of the Sonata boots that I adored when they were first made with sculpts.  This time around you have the ability to use a hud to change the color of every part of the boot.  The stripes can change to one solid color or alternating colors.  You can also change the color of the boot trim and the buttons going up the back of the boot. Then at the Zodiac event is this lovely hair from Alice Project.  It is texture change via hud as most of Alice's hair is.  There is a style with bangs on it available as well.

My skin is a hunt gift from Fierce in the Resting Place event.  The event is like a haunted house/maze/puzzle game and the prizes aren't that easy to find in many cases but the event is great, prizes or not.  My lollipop is from the annual free Halloween treat bucket at Schadenfreude.  Get the bucket for 0L, click it, get yourself some fun stuff!

Super Casual and Conservative

I have been feeling the casual vibe lately.  I know any minute I'll be back to my unusual preferences but for the moment it's all about neutrals and soft colors.  I was hanging out with my friend Dahl and she was like WTF...you look so professional/casual I am frightened.  That means I did good!
