I Got Bugged

  I am super behind on blogging.  Seriously.  Anyone else about...oh...a year behind? LOL.  Sorry SL but RL is busy.  Sad face.  One thing I wanted to make time in my SL to share is that A-Bomb has rebranded as Fission.  You have probably heard that by now but still I wanted to share because the creator is such a freaking awesome person and talented.  I love how there is always a sort of vintage and/or alternative vibe to her clothing even when it is something basic.  I am pretty much addicted to animal prints so I had to show this zebra dress. :D
  Oh, and hey, this dress is only 100L through tomorrow night so catch it while it's cheap. :P

  I am wearing this fur stole from Adore&Abhor's co-owner Airedine Poe.  The bow is color change so if you want to match a bunch of looks you can do it.  I am actually wearing a matching green lipstick from Pink Fuel but since I made the pic black and white you can't tell. :P  There are lots of fur colors available for purchase.

Probably Too Many Clashing Colors For One Post

Poses?

  I think I might start showing poses specifically in posts, instead of occasionally crediting them as part of a whole look like I normally do.  So, I am going to have a go at it.

  These sets are from Pretense, a new name for the designs from Gidge Uriza, formerly of Status Poses.  I took these photos bare bones, completely unedited (aside from the combining the photos in Gimp.)  all the jagged bits are there.  I wore simple bodysuits to show how the avatar looks when it moves.  I wore a long, mesh, hair so you could see how the poses looks with that too.

  I know the pictures aren't fancy but since a pose is the base of every fashion post I thought I should show it at the complete basics, without being totally bald and nude.

  More Goth Fair!!!  You have a little over a week left to hit the World Goth Fair.  I keep hearing people say they don't want to go because they aren't goth but omg there are so many great things!!  Like this dress from Volstead, for example, is shown here in classic black lace but there are other colors too!  Does not have to be style "goth" at all.  I wore this dress with the group gift earrings from Ladies Who Lunch and a necklace from Lassitude & Ennui, to give it a more vintage feel.  Of course I added lots of other darker items (like this incredible skin!!!) to make it spooky like I like though. ;D  More information below!

Psycho For Psyko

  I will be the first to say that I suck at painting.  I LOVE painting.  I try so freaking hard.  Sometimes something passable will come out of it but, in general, I am a miserable painter.  Thankfully I found this cool website called Psykopaint that lets you make your photos into painting-type things.  Mine still...is...not good. LOL.  But I think I will get better!  Anyway, this is what I did so far:

  Basically you upload a photo, or select one of the photos they already have ready, and you can choose a different style to paint in.  The styles are based on famous artists like Degas, Van Gogh, etc.  I know you can do a lot of this stuff in Photoshop but some of us don't have $1k to buy it and won't steal it. xD  So this is fun. :P  Below is the original picture:

  I know, the original is better than the painting one, so why bother? Haha.  Oh, well.  I had fun. :P  Check out Psykopaint HERE if you want to try it out.  I found it's easier to do flowers and animals and stuff so I will probably stick to those from now on.

Quick and Casual

  Just wanted to share this casual, romantic look from Paper Moon for Fantasy Faire this morning.  This outfit has so many pieces and I have not shown them all here even.  Here I am wearing the headpiece, the belt, the skirt, and the bonus eye makeup (from M.O.C.K. Cosmetics) but you can also get a top and rings as well.  I had a problem with the alpha layer for the skirt so I made my own.  Not sure if it was my own problem or if it was an actual mistake so I sent the creator a note about it.  I'll update this post when I get more info.!  Other than that I really like this outfit, especially the belt!  More details below. EDIT: The alpha is fixed and the creator is super nice and awesome.  Support nice creators! :D

Red March

I got this dress from Valentina E. for Zodiac and it is incredibly sexy.  I wanted to add some cute to the look so I added this hood from BCC at the Arcade and this skin from Pink Fuel for the Adore&Abhor anniversary and, voila!, a sexy red riding hood look for the day.

I should note that in SL I could not get the hood to work over the dress and hair without parts of both poking through it.  I edited it in Gimp because I really loved how the items looked together but just know that if you want to wear both inworld together you might not be able to get it to work.

Happy Vamps

It has been getting really dark, really early these and I have been thinking that if I was a vampire I would be super happy.  The days are short, the nights are long, they don't have to worry about freezing to death...yeah, it would be good to be a vampire way up north.  Anyway, because of that I decided to do a winter vampire look.  I am wearing the skimpy little fur one-piece outfit from Sakide for Around the World.  A vampire doesn't have to worry about staying warm so could totally rock this skin-baring look, hehe.  The outfit comes with a long-sleeved undershirt and boots as well!  My skin is a gacha item from Essences that you can get at The Deck right now for 150L a pop.  It's very realistic!  It comes with dark brows on it but I used the La Petite Morte eyebrow remover layer on top of it.  I used a set of alpha and prim vampire teeth from A Netherworld on that marketplace for only 75L and some under-eye shadow from my my store to finish the vampire feel.

My hair is from Alice Project for Around the World.  She has NINE new styles out for it.  I am not even joking.  I think the owner needs a nap.  The store is in like all the events ever, haha!  This style is called Yuri and can be used with any of the Alice Project Nova Collection dye huds to get the color you want.

This Is Halloween-ish

Hiiiiiii!  I have some new mesh lovelies and a couple free things and all the awesome sauce for you today.  My dress and boots are both mesh and both from Dilly Dolls, though they are in different places.  The dress is one of the colors available of the new mesh dresses from DD at the Cinema event.  If you haven't been to this event...why not!?  There is really something for everyone.  The boots are a remake of the Sonata boots that I adored when they were first made with sculpts.  This time around you have the ability to use a hud to change the color of every part of the boot.  The stripes can change to one solid color or alternating colors.  You can also change the color of the boot trim and the buttons going up the back of the boot. Then at the Zodiac event is this lovely hair from Alice Project.  It is texture change via hud as most of Alice's hair is.  There is a style with bangs on it available as well.

My skin is a hunt gift from Fierce in the Resting Place event.  The event is like a haunted house/maze/puzzle game and the prizes aren't that easy to find in many cases but the event is great, prizes or not.  My lollipop is from the annual free Halloween treat bucket at Schadenfreude.  Get the bucket for 0L, click it, get yourself some fun stuff!

Some Kind of Post Title

I just have a mix of things I wanted to show today, almost all of it mesh.  I have a total love for mesh now, whereas a year ago I was like bleh this is kind of lame.  I have a hard time even getting interested in things that aren't mesh these days unless they are super awesome cool.  I just love that I can do unusual poses and move around freely and the items move with me.  Like this dress from C'est La Vie, for example.  If this was a sculpted skirt it would likely poof out all weird when I tried to do bending poses.  Blargh.  Also, mesh are my boots from Lassitude & Ennui for the L'Accessoires event this cycle and are out in multiple colors.  I love having ankle boots that move with me and don't make my ankles look all broken-y.  The boots come with options for a light or dark wood heel/platform.

Flowery

I have a few new things and some not so new things that I put together today for just a fun LOTD.  My dress is not new but it's something that Draconic Kiss released a few months ago that I fell in love with, meant to blog, lost in my inventory, found in my inventory, got too busy in SL and RL to blog, forgot about it, then found again.  *Runs out of breath*  So anyway, it's about time I posted it!  I am wearing the option with the purple belt and flowers because I thought it was cool how well it matched the purple option of the new Dilly Dolls shoes.

 Speaking of Dilly Dolls, check out these shoes up close below.  There are color change with a bunch of bright colors to choose from and you can change the color of the buckle independently.  These are available at Vintage Fair for now and there is another pair with skulls on it there too you might want to check out.

My hair is also from Vintage Fair, this time by one of my fave stores, Alice Project.  Each hair style comes with a mini-pack of colors but if you are a VIP group member (250L join fee) there is a special VID hud with some fun color combos in it too. (not to mention the fact there is a special VIP only MM board prize and also Alice gives out gifts sometimes too :3)  Alice has several styles at the fair, this being just one of my faves.

OMG An Actual Review!

So Isabeau normally does the actual skin reviews and I kind of do like "Hey, here's some stuff!"  Today, however, I wanted to share the new skin line "Emma" from Cupcakes.

I am a total skin fanatic in SL.  I own soooo many that I totally love and I have so much fun trying new brands; however, there are only a few that I feel are "me."  One brand is MiaSnow with the new Sweety line.  Another is Tuli but she hasn't been active in SL for quite some time now.  Third would be my own skins, obviously.  The one that I have always felt is me, for years now, is Cupcakes.  This new Emma line is my fave so far.  A bonus to how cute it is is how cheap they are!!  The tones are normally only 299L but the copper tone, the one I am wearing in the first photo, is on sale for only 50L each makeup style and one is even free.  Each one comes with a bare version of the skin too so you really are getting a two for one.  They even contain various tattoo layers too!  How cool is that?

I have very few negative things to say about this.  Maybe the only thing is the fuller cleavage on the lightest tone is a bit gray.  Other than that I love everything.  There are so many tones to choose from, natural and fantasy, many more than what I have shown here.  The freckles are classic Cupcakes, the knees and breasts are great, the new lips are to die for, the fingernails aren't super creepy looking like most skin brands.  One of my fave parts is the stomach.  It's shaded in a way that would work with very thin to very curvy body types.  Love!

The lingerie I am wearing is also from Cupcakes.  Some of the styles in the photos, like the white one on top for example, are as low as 10L!  I love new undies because they are great for blog posts showing off skins and, hey, who doesn't love a little lace every once in a while?  Also, my hair is a new mesh hair from Alice Project that you can find at Hair Fair.  I used the Infinity HUD to change the color, which includes tips and streaks options also.

Quick and Free and Limited Time Only!

Hi all!  I have an all free/cheap post for you today. :D  I usually do my entirely free/cheap posts on Free*Style and save this blog for full priced and free/cheap/full priced mixes but I felt like posting here anyway this time around, hehe.  My skin is free for a limited time only from Adam n Eve in honor of Etta James and will be back to full price on MONDAY.  I love the tone, the lips, everything. The skin has a natural breast but I am using a cleavage layer from Ayumi for added oomph.  The Darkglen eyes I'm wearing are from Adam n Eve as well and are also free.  They are actually the demo but are totally wearable since they have no demo marks and are to be considered more of a sample.

My hair is from Alice Project and actually it's *two* hair styles worn together because I'm crazy like that.  The main part of the hair is mesh and is on the MM board for VIP members only (250L join fee but there is a second board with a different style for everyone, not just VIPs also.)  The flexi ponytail add-on is from a different style that I won in the MM board.  I pretty much think it's straight up genius to do an attachment with flexi so that you can get the detail of the mesh item with the realism of flex.  Obviously you need a viewer that allows mesh and multiple attachments so keep that in mind if you want this look.  My eye makeup is from Glamorize on the marketplace and is ridiculously cheap (1L for the shadow, 6L for the lashes that come with both tattoo layer and prim versions) and nice quality as all their items are, generally speaking. My dress is from Dead Dollz and I also found it on the marketplace for only 1L.  The dress appears to be hand-drawn and I am all about that.  Finally, my nails on the glove layer are from RezIpsa Loc.  I almost exclusively wear their nails because they always fit with my skins, no matter the tone, and they seem to be as realistic as glove layer nails can be considering the weird avatar mesh.  You can get a big pack of colors for 50L this weekend for La Venta Eventa.

Excuse-y My Quick Post

Just wanted to do a quick post sharing some lovely finds from Alice Project, Hate Me and Eat Me and Es' Cusi.  I never noticed how small my avatar's waist is until I wore this top, haha!  *Sings little in the middle but she got much back.*  My hair is just like my RL hair (when I, you know, actually keep it trimmed and not let it get all scraggly at the ends...I should really call the salon after this post) except my RL hair is not this long.  I am growing my hair out to donate though since I found a place that accepts dyed hair so eventually it will be longer but then it will be gooooooone!

Same As it Ever Was

Something about the respected and revered and worshiped turns me into a mischievous little woman.  I see a uniform/military/something stuffy inspired outfit and I have to add rips and heels and cigarettes.  It reminds me of in Tim Burton's Batman when The Joker and his crew start spray painting the artwork, making something very serious into something completely the opposite, so I had to add the Catwoman helmet to this look. ;D

My shoes are from Alice project and, just a warning, they are mesh.  That said, they are attachments that come with a HUD you can use to change the vamp, strap, platform and heel colors.  You can purchase several HUD versions each with different colors and finishes (faded, patent, glossy, etc, etc.) or the giant fatpack of glory and amazeballs.  I matched them up to the colors in this look but really you can mix and match colors and finishes from all the HUDS to get the look you want.

Meshy LOTD

I wanted to do a look with just about everything I'm wearing being mesh and I did it!  Woo!  I didn't even crash when I took the picture. :O  My shorts and top are from Beetlebones.  Every mesh release I have seen from Beetlebones has been fantastic.  I honestly am wondering why this store isn't insanely popular yet?  It's one of those stores that has consistently made excellent products and still gets only minimal coverage.  Such a shame!

The shoes I am wearing are at the Vintage Fair and are from Lassitude and Ennui.  My friend Acha TPd me to a club a while back and saw me wearing L&E boots and was like yay!  I then told her that whenever I do end up wearing shoes (which I really am lazy about :P) it's only ever a few brands and since like 2007 my go to brand has been L&E.  I was set against going mesh regularly until L&E started doing mesh releases.  Well, I had to give it a go then.  I still don't use the mesh viewer all the time, since it won't let me use shadows for pictures, but whenever I see a release from L&E I pop on that mesh viewer faster than you can say "zomg vintage unisex spectator shoes of love."

The skin I am wearing is from Heartsick.  It's a nice tone that could cover a lot of ethnic types and is a great change from the pale and tan only that so many stores do.  They even do very dark skins which is always a win in my book.  The hair is from Alice Project and is also mesh.  I was really worried this wouldn't fit my weird, kidney bean-shaped head but it does!  Yeeee-haw!  The one I am wearing is the "naturals" version which means it has all your essential colors like black, blonde, brown and red.  The bangs are separate but I am such a sucker for Betty bangs I couldn't not wear them.
