Bakes on Mesh is Freaking Amazing

So if you're looking for new release reviews or whatever then move along, lol. I just really want to talk about how much I love Bakes on Mesh. I know everyone else is but...I want to so whatever. XD  I have been posting things on Flickr about it, such as HERE and HERE, and probably will continue to. I just love it so much.  I practically cried when I was able to wear my freckles again. Here is just a fun look I put together:
It's a completely unedited photo (aside from cropping and resizing, which don't really count) so things aren't perfect. But someone in Flickr mentioned they liked unedited pics so I thought I should give it a go. :)
Now, things with Bakes On Mesh aren't perfect. If you remember back in the day before mesh body parts you'll remember that we had ugly flipper feet and low rez hands. That required different texturing than we do now. So old skins look...not great on modern hands and feet. Check this mess out:
Some of this can be very easily fixed by creators who want to re-release old stuff. For stuff that isn't going to be re-released you just have to get a bit more creative with nails and tinting and other such things. :)
Anyway, I am excited to try this more and really pumped to see what happens with it in the future. Most of the stuff is no longer available but I will give some details where I can. Enjoy!

The Weeping Song

I've been seeing teaser images advertising the Epoch event for a while now and have been growing increasingly impatient.  It was to the point where I really didn't even want to buy anything else until it opened.  Well, it opened and I was not disappointed.  I was lagging pretty terribly last night, which had nothing to do with the event itself as it was surprisingly lag-free when I went, so I couldn't shop as much as I wanted to but I did pick up a few things right away, like this beastly outfit from Deviant Girls, one of my fave stores in SL, that not only comes with this cool fur shawl but with an entire outfit, even shoes and horns.  My hair is from Iruco and it's lovely in its unisex awesomeness.  The hair was only 150L I think or something around there so I will have to take my male alt over there and grab it too. :P
My eyeshadow is from La Mulvada Mujer.  I always drool with excitement over their store ads and the products inside the vendors certainly do not disappoint.  It comes with two other color eye makeups and a lipstick option as well.  The crown from Addict at the Festival of Sin obviously brings out thoughts of the crucifixion, something that always made me tear up when listening to the stories of it in Catholic church as a small child, so I searched Marketplace and found this free tear tattoo makeup from Spectrals to add to the feel of it.

Gummi Gummi Gum

It's never too cold to look cute. This new dress from Deviant Girls, shoes from Dilly Dolls, and skin from JeSyLiLo make for a great look for any season. The new skins from JeSyLiLo are perfect for the season. They are soft and feminine and have that flushed "been in the snow waiting for my boyfriend to pick me up and take me out to dinner" look. The bodies come in matte and shiny versions which is a great option to have when you like to take lots of photos and need options. The makeups have lots of shine and lean toward the pastel colors. Winter releases tend to have dark, matte makeups generally but the glimmer and gloss on these should be appreciated by those attending holiday parties as well as those living in countries currently having their summer.I am showing several different makeups but there are more tones and options and each makeup includes a hair base and cleavage option as well. I know I recently blogged skins from JeSyLiLo and I try not to post too much of one store in a row but this new line is so adorable it really needed to be shown!

Tartan Today

I got a bunch of pieces I adore yesterday and want to share. My muffler is from Deviant Girls, one of my fave stores in SL. The frayed edges of the fabric and the oversize safety pin are excellent touches. The dress is by Acid & Mala for the FTLO winter event. It comes with many options for skirt and neckline. My shoes are a new release from Lassitude & Ennui and...wow. They are gorgeous! Not that I would expect anything less from this brand. I have been shopping there since I was a newbie and am not going to stop any time soon.

Stick Out Your Can, I'm the Garbageman

I have been in love with this dress from Deviant Girls for a while now and when I realized I hadn't blogged it I was like :O Must blog it now!The detail is amazing. The skirt is made from feathers, hangers, and all sorts of tossed away items a strange crow might use for a nest. The neck piece is lovely and doesn't remove my necklace when I wear it! Like all Deviant Girls items this dress is full of detail and the quality is far above par.
Worn:
Dress: Deviant Girls
Hair: Fashionably Dead
Skin: Mango, Mango! (Bad Blood Ballroom special)
Boots: Dilly Dolls

Geek Chich Rough Tough Sweet Treat

Some goodies I bought when shopping for the Winter Choice! 2009 event.
The skirt by =Feather= is completely prim. Meaning folks can look at your hoohoo-nono if you don't wear panties, teehee.
These shoes by CoCo make me just....*shudders with orgasmic glee*
I really wish I could have got more detail of this hat in the photo but my dumb butt decided to wear black hair when taking photos. Sigh. I promise it's cool though :PWorn:*
