"Kitteh" for a Day

Sanura Snowpaw of *Dreams* tossed me this outfit (the result of a collaboration between Sanura and Ivey Deschanel of Sn@tch) and I dug the purple-y goodness so much, I figured I'd give the neko thing a shot.
Captain Kitty comes with the adorable hat/ear combo, scripted tail, and a complete outfit. It can be worn a variety of ways and has several layer options. It's only 275L for the whole shebang, and it's a 100% donation item.
I paired it with cute candy-adorned flats and a diamond studded ring from Glitter Trash, and piercings from Lolapop! which have scripted tintable pieces. The posture collar came with 2 attachment points, so it was easy to wear with a jacket collar!

Forsaken Emotions

The Alt Fair is about things a bit darker and a bit unusual; the items from Forsaken and EMO-tions reflect this perfectly.If you want heads to turn, this is the look for you. The fully sculpted corset, top, and posture collar, the ballet boots, the sculpt-topped gloves and stockings, two skirt options, satiny panties, not to mention the skin, shape, eyes, and blindfold....all these put together make for a perfect outfit for anyone taking a walk on the wild (and quite naughty) side. The hair from EMO-tions completes this look perfectly. The details are phenomenal and the front head piece ends perfectly above the blindfold of the Forsaken look.

The lovely items from Show Me On the Doll for the alternative fair make me absolutely swoon. The total look makes me wonder what kind of girl is wearing this...Is she a slightly insane, tough, stubborn and futuristic princess of destruction, bent on getting her way no matter what?Or is she more of the artistic wallflower, patiently waiting for the party to end, tears running slowly down her cheeks. Knowing she will never be part of the norm makes her sad but she secretly relishes the thought and thrives on the living controversy that she is.Or maybe it's all of the above and more? All I know for certain is the creator, Putrid Gloom, is an amazingly generous woman, giving the entire outfit for free with nothing but a simple request for a donation in any amount. Even the stunning skin is only 100L with 100% of the proceeds going to Nothing But Nets. Yes, she may be dark and gloomy, but the heart inside burns brightly with the fire of generosity and passion.

Enter SandGirl : Alt Fair Preview!

Locked in a box, she waited.One of my favorite stories of all time is the Sandman series by Neil Gaiman. When I saw the helmet from NebuchadNezzar at the Alternative Fair it instantly brought to mind the helm worn by the main character in the graphic novels. The helmet has a very eerie sort of glow that makes it difficult to distinguish the finer details of one's face and lends a mysterious air to the whole look. If you want to be even more mysterious there is an option to tint the glass portion of the mask to a higher level of opacity, even to complete black. The helmet also includes shoulder armor which I am not wearing in order to show off the awesome DV8 dress.This outfit from DV8 actually comes in several parts for mixing and matching. I chose the sort of sweet latex ballerina girl combination as an homage to the almost carnival or circus feel to many portions of the Sandman series. The ensemble comes complete with shoes, socks, and several options for tops. It's sweet without being overly saccharin and tough without feeling bulky or grungy. A perfect look for the woman who can make your dreams come true...The items from this post are available at the Alternative Fair from April 22nd-May 2nd. So I got this outfit from Donna Flora a while back and it is so yum!I love how the shine on the pants gives me that extra round looking booty. Everyone loves an apple bottom, hehe. Crystal Heads Can Be Pretty

When I saw this crystal head from Nushru for the Crazy Ass Hair Hunt I was like whoa this is awesome! Then I was like uh now what do I wear it with?I felt that it went really great with a fairy feel so I rummaged around and found the lovely new dresses from SYSY's that have a super lovely iridescent look to them and they had a perfectly coordinating color so that was also helpful. I went and bought prim feet from SLink which are impeccably made, though really difficult to fit I found after about twenty minutes of adjusting. In the end it is worth it for the bare feet that don't look like wet rags.

Last Dance, Last Chance

I'm a little sad. LionSkins is discontinuing the Cana line of skins. Though a total of 6 skin lines will be gone tomorrow, Cana was the first line of skins in SL that I really loved. I bought up the regular makeups and the more... Unconventional? Theatrical? Whatever. I bought everything.

Though I usually wore pale skins, I really fell in love with the dark tone. Sometimes darker skins in SL are no more than a poorly tinted dark tan, or you can appear greyish, purplish, or worse... a sickly sort of greenish. I loved the dark Cana skins, and I wear them frequently.



Today (Sunday) is the very last day they'll be available. As of Monday, they'll be gone forever. Grab them now, while you can, for a measly 200 Ls each. (Forbidden, Noir, Dollhouse, Zulu, and Su are available for 150-200Ls too, and are also being retired forever as of Monday.)

A Quickie

Well hello there! I know I've been MIA for a while. I lost my mind and decided to become a content creator. Or is it the other way around? Either way, it's exhausting.
I've been kind of stressed (is it me or is SL being particularly ornery lately?) and ripping my hair out. I need to relax!

I headed up to my sky box and jumped on this break dancing pad from Agent Orange. I consider it to be one of the best hunt gifts ever. It's so entertaining.
I love these socks. I have rainbow toe socks like this in my first life, and I squeed when I found them in SL. What's life without a little color and whimsy?
My friend Sanura dropped these jeans on me today, and when I tried them on I actually thanked her for not showing 6" of visible crack. Remember kids, CRACK IS WACK.

Before I give you my style notes, I wanted to thank the pose makers and animators of SL. Without you I wouldn't look nearly as cute or as glamorous while wearing my pretty clothes, I wouldn't have the break dancing mat that makes me smile, and without an AO I'd be stuck in the default SL muppet stalk, trotting around like I've got a stick up my bum. So thank you for the hard work you put in to each pose and animation. I'm happy to put in the extra half second of effort it takes to credit you on my blog.
