More Last Minute Gifting Ideas

Check out Musashi-Do for more last minute gift ideas! If you read this in the next like 20 minutes you can get gift cards for half off. If you read it after that, well, you can still get gift cards! Musashi-Do has high quality items for men and women that are not super expensive. One of my all time fave pieces from the store is the December Warmth coat.
I love the textures on the belt and the shape of the high collar. Yum!
Newly released is the Infini-tie shirt for women! It has been available for men for a while now but hey, I'm a lady! Haha. The system allows you to change the texture of the tie you are wearing into various patterns and colors to match or clash with your favorite looks.
See? Tie-tastic!
The boots I am wearing in the pictures are from the Beauty Avatar sim hunt and are by Label. Nice sculpted goodness.
OK, have fun!

Xmas Hustle

Everyone is currently trying to find gifts at the last minute. In every group chat I'm in questions such as "What stores have transferable items?", "Are there any gift card sales?", and "What the hell am I supposed to buy for my friend so-and-so!?" are coming through every minute. I am going to try to post a few things you can get for the last minute on the cheap in the next 24 hours.
One thing I like that is El Inexpensive-o (under 100L!) is this cute sweater from {Boutique} at the Glance sim. It's grandma style without being bulky, which rocks. And it's trans! So, you win. Plus you can debate about what that reindeer creature is planning on doing to that tree. Or vice versa.
Sweater and Antlers: {Boutique} @ Glance (transferable!)
Skirt and Stockings: WhoNose
Boots: Sentou Yousei
Hair: White Well
Skin: Mix and Match

I am going to start adding this message on the end of my posts that contain review copies for all the crumb bums who complain about disclosure:

Geek Chich Rough Tough Sweet Treat

Some goodies I bought when shopping for the Winter Choice! 2009 event.
The skirt by =Feather= is completely prim. Meaning folks can look at your hoohoo-nono if you don't wear panties, teehee.
These shoes by CoCo make me just....*shudders with orgasmic glee*
I really wish I could have got more detail of this hat in the photo but my dumb butt decided to wear black hair when taking photos. Sigh. I promise it's cool though :PWorn:*

Feeling Sexy With Dahl

I saw some free lingerie come through the subscribo at Fishy Strawberry and my evil plan hatched. "I shall make Dahl pose with me!" I thought, "Then she shall be mine! Mwa ha ha!" One word of free skimpies and she immediately teleported to the store and grabbed the gear from the notices. I got her to come to my skybox with an innocent "let's blog together" suggestion. Once she was in the set ("Why don't you wear the thong?" I suggested with an evil gleam in my eye) I asked in the least skeezy tone I could muster if she would like like to hold my hand. She seemed reluctant but finally agreed.
I tried to keep my eyes off her large, sexy bottom but it was so hard I ended up not even being able to look anywhere near her. I think she sensed my intentions of slex through my sweaty palms and she quickly looked for the exit. At least I got a photo before she left :P

One Set + Two Looks = Long Post

I have had the Mora Gabby set from Alamood sitting in my inventory for a while waiting to be blogged and I couldn't decide if I should pair it with something casual or something sexy. The debate raged on until I decided oh what the heck, I'll do both! The stones on this set have the look of Tiger's Eye, which as a former rock collector I enjoy. (OMG...did I just let my nerd flag fly a bit there?) Paired with casual clothes I feel like the cool artist lady down the street who makes awesome painting and drinks chai and wears cool glasses (oh wait..that IS me!! Except significantly fatter than my av. Ahem.)The shoes I am wearing with the casual set are the new release from HOC. They are color change, modifiable, everything you could want in a prim foot and only 100L! Same awesome quality as all HOC goods. Love. I especially love how the toes are not too fat, too short, too curled, too straight, or too long. They are yummy little toesies! For the sexier look I am wearing the new release dress from Khush. I received the fat pack as a review copy and I chose the green one because...well...I love green It's tight, slightly shiny, low cut...hot. I am only wearing one ring and one bracelet from the Mora Gabby set but it comes with two of each, as well as the necklace on two attachment points. And what goes better with a tiny dress and baubles than knee high boots? The Skin I am wearing is one of the So 2010! Hidden 50L items at Glance skins. It makes me look kind of angry but I like it! Haha! The Orbis Penitus sim (where Glance is) is an adult rated sim so if you're not age verified you can't go.
And finally a close up of the bracelet in the set. The stone has black, brown, and tan in it so you can really pair it with any colors. Versatility is always key to me when buying things because I am not exactly rich and need things that I know I can wear more than once. Alamood has many versatile pieces and even shoes! More on the shoes later!

I'm in LUST!

When I found out I had been selected to receive a blogger preview pack of Launa Fauna’s new skins, at first I was too shocked to click accept. Then I squeed. A lot. I tried them on and stared at myself, camming over my whole body several times. (Vanity, thy name is Isabeau.) But there's no getting around it; I like these skins. I love these skins. I hot monkey lust these skins.
(From left to right: Fresh, Voom, Acres. Click for larger version.)

I admit I don’t own many Chai or Chai Nova skins. They just never looked right on me. However, Launa Fauna’s newest skin line L.Fauna is vastly different from her Chai skins. (There's even a different subscriber for the L.Fauna line, which can be found here.) Though she still offers the oh-so-awesome tintable brows and freckle options, the face and body are fresh and new. They’re head-to-toe beautiful, and when they’re released, I will have them all!

I received 3 skins in the pale 2 tone, and I’m amazed at how the softly shaded body almost glows.

One of my absolute favorite parts of these skins is the soft belly. I’m a curvy girl in SL so I'm not a big fan of rock-hard abs drawn onto women's skins. I’m proud to show off this belly rather than hide it under my clothes!

Launa still excels in the freckle department. Not only are her freckles very well done (not too light, not too dark) she also puts a smattering of freckles across the chest, the back, and subtle ones on the belly. As a freckled girl IRL, that tickles me. I look like a sweetheart in the "Fresh" makeup and that’s all right with me.

The skins come in 6 gorgeous tones (2 pale, 2 tan, 2 dark), all of which have tintable lips and brows, freckle options, and cleavage options (not shown here.)

As of right now, there are no demos to try because the skins haven’t been released. However, the public will get their first shot at these skins on the next 50 Linden Friday (tomorrow) when Launa offers a skin for only 50Ls. I challenge you to grab it and fall in love with the L.Fauna skins the way I have.

The Passion of Winter

Winter time where I live is a pretty horrible thing. It is dark most of the time, it's painfully cold (not unusual to see temps -30 degrees Fahrenheit), the snow is filthy and drab from the passing cars, and the roads become icy and deadly. In SL, however, winter is a thing of beauty.
Putting on a comfy sweater and fluffy boots and walking into a sim with gently falling snow fills me with the feeling of comfort I used to get at the first snow fall of the season, before I became a jaded and cranky adult. Grey skies in SL are an art form and a thing of beauty, where as the constant grey skies up north here in RL winters have literally driven people to madness and worse.
Second Life really does help people get through many issues in their real lives. Some people suffer from crippling anxiety in RL, yet are able to have fulfilling social lives in SL. People with very little pocket money for clothing in RL can have massive wardrobes in SL. Things of extreme winter-themed beauty in SL really do help me get past the growing cabin fever I experience in RL winters. Comfy sweaters like the one from Aqua I am wearing and the boots from Duh! bring a bit of my RL self into my avatar; the amazing 12 Days of Christmas themed branch accessory from ~La Petite Morte~ bring that extra aspect of wonder and fantasy to my avatar that allows me to escape the gloominess of the weather for a short period of time.
Whether you are a gloomy Gus like me, or a total polar bear, I think you can appreciate the wonderful craft work that goes into each and every decent part of SL. This winter while it blizzards outside in the grey day, I will appreciate them all the more.

I must say...if you want to be noticed in SL don't dress all flashy and crazy...dress in full black and white. People will comment all over the place. I learned this tonight, haha.

Yes, Mistress.

Shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather
Whiplash girlchild in the dark
Comes in bells, your servant, don't forsake him
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart

Downy sins of streetlight fancies
Chase the costumes she shall wear
Ermine furs adorn the imperious
Severin, Severin awaits you there
I am tired, I am weary

I could sleep for a thousand years
A thousand dreams that would awake me
Different colors made of tears

Kiss the boot of shiny, shiny leather
Shiny leather in the dark
Tongue of thongs, the belt that does await you
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart

I have had the song "Venus in Furs" by The Velvet Underground stuck in my head for a while and when I saw this outfit from SD Wears I had to make it into a look for a Dommes.

Some of My Favorite Things Part 1

I am going to start posting about some of my favorite stores. They might not be the "newest" stores around. They might not be the trend of the moment, or hang out with the "cool crowd", but they make quality items and have never been involved in shady business. The designers in these "Favorite Things" posts will be ones that take up gigantic portions of my inventory. I love them all and hope to do them justice!Jewelry: Artistry by ~E~
Lingerie: Wanderer the Wind
Skin: Fior Di Perle
Hair: Truth

For my first post I am going to show Artistry by ~E~, formerly known as Blood Diamond Jewelry.

Endra Graves, the creator behind Artistry, is a no-nonsense woman. You do not want to get on her bad side, LOL. If you get on her good side, however, she will send you awesome bacon-related recipes. Oh, wait, maybe that's just me!Jewelry: Artistry by ~E~
Lingerie: Wanderer the Wind
Skin: Fior Di Perle
Hair: Analog Dog

The pieces are sold in sets, no separates for most of the items. In each set you get a minimum of three items (necklace and earrings being most common, but other sets come with bracelets, rings, etc.). The prices vary from set to set, but expect to pay between 500L-1000L for most items.

If you join the update group you will be eligible to get notices about great sales and frequent fun things like gift card hunts. I am lucky enough to be in this group and it's AWESOME because everyone gets along and it's just super fun and we get special offers and whatnot and I love it :P
Jewelry: Artistry by ~E~
Lingerie: Cupcakes
Skin: Fior Di Perle
Hair: Clawtooth by Clawtooth

This post is going to be a long one, if you can't tell already :P The items I am showing you are only a fraction of what I have and what I have is only a fraction of the sets available. I should also note that gift cards are sold here. You just can't go wrong with gift cards. Seriously. Your girl friend wants jewelry! Christmas is coming up! :D Go now to Artistry and support the creative creators!

I also want to point out that the skin I am wearing is awesome. LOL. It is by Fior Di Perle. I had never been to Fior Di Perle until a review copy was passed to me recently. All the skins worn throughout this post are the "Claudia" line and I think they are just super. They have realistic eyebrows, which always wins me over! I also really love the tummy because it is soft without looking flabby and it doesn't look too muscley for those times when I choose to wear a heavier shape.
I also really love the dark eye makeup on the skins I am wearing, as well as the lip colors. The lip colors are just perfectly suited to the skin tone, which is important. Often times creators will just slap the same makeup colors on every tone with no regard as to whether or not it actually looks ok :P Word has it Fior has an MM board too so check that out as well!!

Note: The last jewelry set is part of the private collection...meaning it is not in the store and you can't have it. I'm just super special and showing off, teehee.

...and where have YOU been?

I haven't been blogging much lately because I'm doing a stint as the queen of road trips, and I'm not nearly done. I've got 2 more week-long road trips in me before 2010, both for major holidays, and I'm all meh about them. And I'm sick, so that's the cherry on my sniffling sneezing coughing aching stuffy headed sundae. Ha!

I needed some cheering up, so I dug in my inventory for the little things that make me happy. Some of you know I'm downright nuts about apples and apple stuff in RL and SL, so I decided to show you some of my finds. Hopefully you'll find something here that catches your eye :)

This apple shirt from eLDee is one of my favorites, mainly because it's the first apple item I found in SL. This wormy necklace and bracelets from WhoNose is just so damned cute.
When Sileny told me about the apple cardigan at Concrete Flowers, I think I broke the lightspeed record for teleports.
And look, I even have apples on my shoes! THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY!

If you find more apple stuff around SL, please let me know. Leave me comments with slurls, and I will love you forever and ever! :D

Secret Agent

Amaya was once a poor girl growing up in the slums of Kingston. Surrounded by violence and poverty she watched the tourists with envy and wished for the day she could get away. She fought for everything from the day she was born, only her beauty saved her from complete destruction. As she grew older she grew stronger and people began to take notice of her. Some important people. One day a knock on the door came and men in suits took her family away. "We will return them safely to you if you work for us. It is dangerous but you, we think, will survive." She had done many things she did not want to do in her time...this couldn't be that bad...could it?
Dress: Musashi Do (some of the best, most original texture work I have ever seen in SL. Make sure to stop by, even if just for a peek. There is stuff for men and women so you have no excuse not to!)
Hair: Flavor! Designs (again, items for men and women available. Even some hunt prizes and freebies floating about)
Skin: Street Dermatology (was a past gift, no longer available. However, there are some amazing skins in the store with free updates for life when you buy them so make sure to check it out)

Sassy and Classy

I bought this dress yesterday from Category 5 for only 25L....what a deal!!! I think I might have to go back and buy more....it looked like just about everything was on sale for 25L. And it's just so darn pretty.I feel like I could be going to an interview at some high class fashion magazine in this look. Very chic. This skin is a yummy one from Rockberry which I think looks great with these eyelashes I got from On the Catwalk back in the day. The hair is a fave from Hair [OH] that I have been rocking in a few blog posts today because I don't want to take it off, haha.
The shoes are from Kookie and were a cheapie at 50L at one point, last time I was there they still were, but not sure if they are still there now.Dress: Category 5
Necklace: Sissi (review iten that I fell in love with)
Skin: Rockberry
Shoes: Kookie
Eyelashes: On the Catwalk
Hair: Hair [OH]
Shape: My personal one, not for sale
