Just an Outfit.

I wore this outfit for the Starlust photo contest a while back and liked it. I restyled it a bit and here we are! Almost all the bits are available on the Bill sim. Bill is sort of like the "classy" Starlust sim, hahaha. The sim is fun and has a big dinosaur. Yeps.
The skin is one of my new faves. I bought it at the HarajukuBox skin faire, but I honestly have no clue if it is still available. I hope so because it only cost 600L and is just kissable and soft.

This post is about starting over, and I've decided I'm going to do it with class.

Yes, I can be classy.

Stop laughing.

Anyway, let me pose a question or two:

Have you ever been sick to death of bending over backwards for people when they remain rigid?

I was, and I decided it was time to step back and take a really good look at myself.

I found some strength I had hidden deep down inside...

...and drew up the courage to walk away.

It was remarkably freeing. I felt like I could have fun once again.

Now I have my whole life ahead of me, and I'm going to dive back in the water head first.

The skin from My Ugly Dorothy is just super silly, dark, and pretty all at once. The SL default facial expression wasn't doing it justice so I used my emoter to give it a bit of a silly face. The cleavage on these skins are really awesome, BTW, and I look forward to the next release!

A New Fave.

Ashia Designs recently rebranded to Idiosyncracy. There are some pretty fabulous skins and almost all are hand drawn. Except the newest release. Ashia has been experimenting with photo sourcing and not surprisingly she whoops the crap out of many already established photo sourced skin makers on her first try. Just look....Skin: Idiosyncracy

Well, I'm doing it anyway.

I've got my iPod cranked to "make my ears bleed" volume while I clean out my "Jewelry Sets" folder. Yeah, see... I thought I was pretty organized (I put in a system when I hit 15,000 items) but once I got to 50,000 items, I started to forget what I have. Trouble is, I have some seriously gorgeous jewelry made by DarionMonkee Levitt of DM Designs* that should never be forgotten.

"Stone Dreams" is my favorite casual set. I wore it all winter with my sweaters and I've been wearing it with my tank tops this summer. It's available in 4 different colors, all of which are a must-have in your jewelry collection. I wear this set so often, I forget I have other jewelry!

The "Stoned Life" set is so pretty that it's just ridiculous. Available in 12 colors, the set comes with two bracelets, earrings, and a necklace.

Something so simple, yet so useful

I am completely handicapped when it comes to adjusting prim lashes. I have no idea why. I always think I have them adjusted properly, then I look at another angle and nope, I ain't got it. This usually leads to frustration and my walking around either eyelash-less or wearing a skin with eyelashes painted on (still on the fence on this one.)

However, before Miriel closed her doors I purchased her 3-pack of eyelashes (copy/no trans, 'cause I was sure I'd screw them up) and decided to give 'em a go. I still had trouble adjusting them until...

I found the mannequin skin from IMAGEN in my inventory and damn near messed myself. Once I donned the skin and eyes, I had the perfect blank palette for adjusting my eyelashes, and it didn't take long at all. And yes, they are perfect from all angles!

OK! Day one of the sort-a-thon has begun. I am around 58K items on my main avatar. Sigh. And there are two grid-wide and several sim-wide hunts I want to do this week. But, I found a cool jacket I didn't know I had! So that rocks. I also experimented with using a face light instead of Wind Light and messed around in Photoshop a bit as well. This is the result (and our first blog picture!!):
