Surprise! Guess What? I Exist!

  No, for real, I do.  I feel the need to point that out because there are some people in the world who would claim that people like me are fake.
  You see, I am bisexual.  I am 31 years old.  This is not a phase.  I have known this almost my entire life.  I've dated men and women.  I am currently married to a man because he's the one who chased me down and held me long enough for me to give in and just agree to love him, haha.
  There are people in the world who have made up there mind that bisexual people pretty much don't exist. They say we are straight but experimenting. Gay but experimenting.  Horny sex addicts.  Seeking attention.  Greedy.  They have lots of excuses made up in their heads to explain away people like me.  This is not just straight people.  Even gay folks like to say this.  Obviously not everyone feels this way but some do.  It sucks.
  Coming out is rough as it is.  You worry what people will do because sometimes the reactions are very harsh.  People have been beaten, abused, tortured, arrested, and even killed for their sexual preference.  Sometimes you decide to come out to someone you feel you can trust first, a very accepting straight friend, or a gay friend.  When you come out and people you think will accept you laugh at you and dismiss you as a phase or whatever it's hard.  It makes it even harder to want to come out to the rest of the public.

  There is an event in SL right now run by SLGBT that is raising money for PFLAG, an organization that seeks to educate the public about LGBT folks and their families, advocate for them, and provide services to promote the health and well being of those who might not be in the best situation.  It's important to not the "B" in LGBT.  They accept bisexuals.  They recognize our existence.  They recognize that it is a genuine sexual preference and not a phase.  I can support this 100%.
  I like this shirt from Pale Empress's gacha because it goes even further than LGBT and includes Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex, and asexual.  This is important since many groups don't regularly feel included.  Asexuality is one that I know many feel is almost never included or recognized by groups so seeing it on this shirt makes me very happy.

  Please note a few things here.  First, I might be getting a few things wrong.  I am feeling...weird at the moment and my mind is sort of messy.  I will fix any mistakes if I find them.  Second, if any of the language or terms I have used offend you let me know!  What might not be offensive to me and people I know may very well be offensive to someone else.  If that's the case I apologize.  Third, my experience as a bisexual woman does not reflect that of everyone in my situation.  We all have different lives and I don't claim to speak for everyone.  Finally, my experience is not meant to diminish in any way the experiences of anyone else of an sexual preference.  This is just my feelings about things that go in the world in regards to prejudice against bisexuals.

I Got Bugged

  I am super behind on blogging.  Seriously.  Anyone else about...oh...a year behind? LOL.  Sorry SL but RL is busy.  Sad face.  One thing I wanted to make time in my SL to share is that A-Bomb has rebranded as Fission.  You have probably heard that by now but still I wanted to share because the creator is such a freaking awesome person and talented.  I love how there is always a sort of vintage and/or alternative vibe to her clothing even when it is something basic.  I am pretty much addicted to animal prints so I had to show this zebra dress. :D
  Oh, and hey, this dress is only 100L through tomorrow night so catch it while it's cheap. :P

  I am wearing this fur stole from Adore&Abhor's co-owner Airedine Poe.  The bow is color change so if you want to match a bunch of looks you can do it.  I am actually wearing a matching green lipstick from Pink Fuel but since I made the pic black and white you can't tell. :P  There are lots of fur colors available for purchase.

Double Post

  I have two looks for you today!  The first is something I found and just instantly had to buy.  I saw this on Marketplace and my jaw just dropped.  Tuty's is normally known for their skin, hair, and AOs but their clothing is really becoming freaking fabulous.  This dress is proof!
  The dress comes with options for two shirt colors, black or white.  There are options for standard size as well as "curvy" options.  There are tons of colors available but when I was gushing over this on Plurk everyone wanted to buy black and I decided to go a little bit different.  I think the pink is such a sweet color and combined with the sexy latex and conservative cut it makes for an exceptional combination.

  My second look today is a complete 180 from the first one.  I meant to blog this about a billion years ago but never did.  I figured I might as well post it now even though the items have been covered a lot.  It's just great!!!
  I get asked about this hair A LOT by people who want to buy it.  It's been out for a super long time at Lelutka but it's worth a buy anyway.  Combined with the structured dress and browless skin I think it makes a more high fashion type of look.

Marketplace Prices

Just a reminder to people that LL does NOT charge for for putting up 0L or 1L items on the Marketplace. I have heard people say they charge for demos because LL will charge them otherwise but it's not true. If you WANT to have 1L demos go for it it's kind of lame but whatever) but if you want to have them free do it because you won't be charged. Just a heads up!

Sky Captain

When I put this outfit on yesterday I instantly felt like I could be a villain or something in a movie like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. The eye patch, the stockings, the shoes, everything just screamed vintage vixen villain. Love!!!

I am also loving red lately so this jacket is great. Apparently it has materials enabled but I have no idea how to use those or if my computer can even handle it so it isn't shown. :P It should also be noted that unless you wear a larger size or the jacket over the smallest size of the dress they won't work together.

Perfect Pumps and Poche

  I just wanted to quickly share these shoes from LVLE.  They have been out for  little bit now and I meant to blog them earlier but RL has been punching me in the face repeatedly for a while now and I never got around to it.  I am making sure i show them now though because YOU NEED THEM.  Who am I to not inform you of what you need?  That would be cruel.  You would never know you needed them unless someone told you.  You would suffer your whole life wondering "Why me?  Why is my life so full sadness and despair?" when really all you needed was these pumps.
  OK, maybe I am exaggerating a tiny bit, but they are really, really nice.  There are so many awesome stripper heels and goth heels and spiked patent leather dominatrix shoes and basically all kids of shoes but few make a basic pump these days.  I love these because they go with SLink feet (basically any shoes I buy these days so, gotta be honest) and they match a ton of looks, even with jeans and stuff.  There are lots of colors too.  Check them out at LVLE.

  The little food set up is free from Poche.  I pretty much just put it there because I feel obligated at this point to have food with my shoe posts.  Also, it's free.  And it's from Poche so you know its good quality and original mesh.  Om nom nom.  I've never had mincemeat pie but I might try it for Poche.
