I have so many things to blog! Today I wanted to share some lovely things from Back to Black and Flux, along with a few other things. I had a lot of trouble with V3 and getting lighting settings right so if you hate the light settings I use bare with me, I'll get better at it soon. First off, look at this dress from Jack Spoon. How adorable is this? I love the color and the sheen on the fabric. Yum! I had to share these cute stools from Starstruck too! Also, my little picture is from Silent Sparrow for Flux. NARWHALS!! And if for some crazy reason you don't like narwhals there are other animals available as well.

My boots are new for Back to Black from Lassitude & Ennui. I am loving how wonderful the textures on mesh items show and I am impressed with how they move along with the body without any stiffness.

I had to pimp myself out a bit and show you the skin I did for Back to Black. It's one of my faves I have ever done so I hope other people enjoy it. The lips, however, are a tattoo layer from Acid&Mala which I am seriously loving. The pack comes in a variety of shades of pinkness to match your style.

Also check out this bracelet Airedine made. It's non-rigged mesh which means you can resize, reposition, etc. There are other positions for it, like upper arm, forearm, etc. It also comes in a necklace version and a silver version. Yay!

WTF!? Why Is Your Picture Not Rezzed?

I have noticed something quite alarming on the feeds. People are not waiting for skins and makeup to fully rez before taking a picture!!! Most of the time it's not as drastic as the photo below but it can come quite close. It's really sad because designers work hours, days, week, months to make a good product and then someone comes along and shows it like this, making it look horrific? Not cool. I don't usually post opinions, that's NOT what this blog is for,but it's borderline insulting to any creator when it happens. I have been doing occasional tutorials on Free*Style and a lot of people are asking for help with simple things and I love to help out. I assume that when issues like this happen it's a simple case of not knowing how to rebake a texture to make a photo look nice so a simple tutorial might be just what is needed.

First off, make sure your graphics preferences are up to par. For any photo LOD should be at 4 or more and avatar should be up super high and so should flexi. I'm doing a close up so everything else doesn't matter much to me. Here is how my settings in Firestorm look:

Next, get your photo set up how you want it. Make sure you have the Advanced menu available. If not, select ctrl+alt+d to show it. Select Rebake Textures. The textures rebake pretty fast and often don't stay baked for long since there is a dumb bug so click your snapshot A.S.A.P. while the picture is still clear.

Before anyone gets all huffy, I know my pictures aren't the best. I know some people are still newbs at photo taking. We all had to learn these tricks somewhere if we didn't somehow find them out on our own. I am just passing this info. along to anyone who might need it. Obviously someone does or otherwise people wouldn't be taking unrezzed photos and then having the nerve to ask for review copies. I just hope this helps someone and thanks for letting me get that out of my system! xD
*Note: I didn't wear much in this photo because I didn't want to show something unrezzed and make a designer look bad so I wore a skin from my own store and the hair is from Catwa (which looks lovely even though the hair base is unrezzed in the first shot, of course.)

Quick and Free and Limited Time Only!

Hi all! I have an all free/cheap post for you today. :D I usually do my entirely free/cheap posts on Free*Style and save this blog for full priced and free/cheap/full priced mixes but I felt like posting here anyway this time around, hehe. My skin is free for a limited time only from Adam n Eve in honor of Etta James and will be back to full price on MONDAY. I love the tone, the lips, everything. The skin has a natural breast but I am using a cleavage layer from Ayumi for added oomph. The Darkglen eyes I'm wearing are from Adam n Eve as well and are also free. They are actually the demo but are totally wearable since they have no demo marks and are to be considered more of a sample.

My hair is from Alice Project and actually it's *two* hair styles worn together because I'm crazy like that. The main part of the hair is mesh and is on the MM board for VIP members only (250L join fee but there is a second board with a different style for everyone, not just VIPs also.) The flexi ponytail add-on is from a different style that I won in the MM board. I pretty much think it's straight up genius to do an attachment with flexi so that you can get the detail of the mesh item with the realism of flex. Obviously you need a viewer that allows mesh and multiple attachments so keep that in mind if you want this look. My eye makeup is from Glamorize on the marketplace and is ridiculously cheap (1L for the shadow, 6L for the lashes that come with both tattoo layer and prim versions) and nice quality as all their items are, generally speaking. My dress is from Dead Dollz and I also found it on the marketplace for only 1L. The dress appears to be hand-drawn and I am all about that. Finally, my nails on the glove layer are from RezIpsa Loc. I almost exclusively wear their nails because they always fit with my skins, no matter the tone, and they seem to be as realistic as glove layer nails can be considering the weird avatar mesh. You can get a big pack of colors for 50L this weekend for La Venta Eventa.

Just wanted to do a quick post sharing some lovely finds from Alice Project, Hate Me and Eat Me and Es' Cusi. I never noticed how small my avatar's waist is until I wore this top, haha! *Sings little in the middle but she got much back.* My hair is just like my RL hair (when I, you know, actually keep it trimmed and not let it get all scraggly at the ends...I should really call the salon after this post) except my RL hair is not this long. I am growing my hair out to donate though since I found a place that accepts dyed hair so eventually it will be longer but then it will be gooooooone!

Sn@tch Some Stuff Up

It was Ivey's birthday yesterday! if you don't know who Ivey is, she is the creator of Sn@tch, a huge clothing (and more) store in SL that has been around for ten trillion years. She's very opinionated and very sweet and I adore her. I wanted to show the cute sweater and makeup I got the other day from Sn@tch anyway so this is perfect timing! The sweaters are long and come on multiple layers with multiple colors, are transferable, and all barely over 200L! :O The skirt is part of a dress that has all the same awesome features listed above. Can't beat the value!

My makeup is also from Sn@tch. I've always loved her skins but sometimes I want to wear different brands so it's nice to have the option of makeup only now. This comes in a darker pack and a more party friendly pack, both with lots of options and cheap as well. My jewelry is from Hate Me and Eat Me. I blog them a lot, can you tell I like them? :P My hair is from Fashionably Dead. They were having a 50% off sale and I don't know if it's still going on but either way go there and buy hair because it's awesome. :P

...Don't you? Kind of? LOL! I decided the album would be named Quick and Dirty because that's how I tend to do my posts. xD This mesh jacket from Beetlebones is SO ROCK AND ROLL I can't even be bothered to get into it because you can see it easily anyway. It also comes in black for you punk rock purists. My shirt and skirt are from Ricielli and are both super cheap. The quality at the store is really great so when they have a sale I do a little dance in my seat. My necklace is a gift from Hate Me and Eat Me and includes matching earrings as well. There are other colors for sale if red if red isn't your thing. I'm increasingly impressed with everything that comes from this brand so definitely keep an eye on them.

My hair is from Pomme d' Amour and comes in lots of colors. Nice, sleek, bob for good everyday purposes.

Quickie Chickie

I've been in love with this dress for a few days now and I have known I needed to post it but I have been soooooo tired! Well I finally dragged my tired booty to the computer so I could show it to you all. It's from Line and is available in several colors. The dress comes with a sculpted skirt option a well as the good ol' crotch flap option that I am wearing. The sculpted skirt is a bit girly and flirty and the prim is, as you can see, a bit more straight forward sex appeal. My avatar has strange hips and a big booty so I stuck with the prim so I didn't have to adjust the sculpt skirt. :P

I wanted to show a close up of my 1L necklace and earrings set from Lolapop! It's Lola's 32nd birthday and just about everything in her store is only 32L (plus she has tons of items that are normally under 32L anyway.) This set is available at the front of the store for everyone.

My shoes are from Kalnins again! I got them as a review copy (OMG yaaaaaay!) but don't worry, if I didn't love them I could NOT be bribed to show them. I do, however, seriously enjoy these shoes. They have the same easy tinting system and trillion colors options that the shoes from the last post I did about their brand. I really like how this brand does interesting platforms on their shoes quite often as opposed to the traditional shape. I also really like the bright red color they have for the shoe/nail option since it's the perfect shade to match all the saucy red lipsticks I love so much.

Same As it Ever Was

Something about the respected and revered and worshiped turns me into a mischievous little woman. I see a uniform/military/something stuffy inspired outfit and I have to add rips and heels and cigarettes. It reminds me of in Tim Burton's Batman when The Joker and his crew start spray painting the artwork, making something very serious into something completely the opposite, so I had to add the Catwoman helmet to this look. ;D

My shoes are from Alice project and, just a warning, they are mesh. That said, they are attachments that come with a HUD you can use to change the vamp, strap, platform and heel colors. You can purchase several HUD versions each with different colors and finishes (faded, patent, glossy, etc, etc.) or the giant fatpack of glory and amazeballs. I matched them up to the colors in this look but really you can mix and match colors and finishes from all the HUDS to get the look you want.

Meshy LOTD

I wanted to do a look with just about everything I'm wearing being mesh and I did it! Woo! I didn't even crash when I took the picture. :O My shorts and top are from Beetlebones. Every mesh release I have seen from Beetlebones has been fantastic. I honestly am wondering why this store isn't insanely popular yet? It's one of those stores that has consistently made excellent products and still gets only minimal coverage. Such a shame!

The shoes I am wearing are at the Vintage Fair and are from Lassitude and Ennui. My friend Acha TPd me to a club a while back and saw me wearing L&E boots and was like yay! I then told her that whenever I do end up wearing shoes (which I really am lazy about :P) it's only ever a few brands and since like 2007 my go to brand has been L&E. I was set against going mesh regularly until L&E started doing mesh releases. Well, I had to give it a go then. I still don't use the mesh viewer all the time, since it won't let me use shadows for pictures, but whenever I see a release from L&E I pop on that mesh viewer faster than you can say "zomg vintage unisex spectator shoes of love."

The skin I am wearing is from Heartsick. It's a nice tone that could cover a lot of ethnic types and is a great change from the pale and tan only that so many stores do. They even do very dark skins which is always a win in my book. The hair is from Alice Project and is also mesh. I was really worried this wouldn't fit my weird, kidney bean-shaped head but it does! Yeeee-haw! The one I am wearing is the "naturals" version which means it has all your essential colors like black, blonde, brown and red. The bangs are separate but I am such a sucker for Betty bangs I couldn't not wear them.

Undies in a League of Their Own

We all know League makes great products so the fact that they made great lingerie for the Vintage Fair isn't surprising; yet somehow I found my jaw dropping at how gorgeous this lingerie is!! There are lots of ways to wear it, bloomers, plain stockings, camisole only, etc., but no matter which layers you put on it's going to look amazing. I thought that the furniture piece from Melu Deco made a great backdrop and seeing as I am pretty much addicted to leopard print I had to use it in the photo. xD

Ploom made some fabulous pin-up style poses for the fair, one of which I am using here. The store is well known for their hair and skins but the poses there are fabulous too, as you can see. I put on some cute little boots from Loordes of London to add a bit of romantic toughness to the look.

Who Hates Writing Titles at Three in the Morning? This Girl!

But I still love blogging no matter what time it is! :D Though, to be honest, I'll probably post this in the after-I-wake-up morning time or night time, which will make my title pointless and confusing, but oh well.
MOVING ON! New things! I was trying on this adorable hat/hair combo from Vaughan's House of Curiosities for the La Venta Eventa weekly sale and was hoping to find something from the vintage fair to go with it. Well guess what? First thing I tried on was this lovely dress from Icing which just so happened to be pretty much the exact shade of navy blue. It's fate I tells ya. The dress and hat and everything is so pretty yet I still get the feeling that a girl in this outfit could kick some behind if it all came down to it. That makes me happy!

Here's a close up so you can see more! If you click the hat you get more colors and there are several hair colors you can get and they come with matching hair bases on the tattoo layer. Yay! First Vintage Fair post! I'm super excited about the vintage fair (and not just because my store is in it.) I have been longing for there to be a vintage fair forever so to finally have one with so many wonderful creators has the feeling of relief only a pixel clothes-gasm could give. Cough.

This dress from Connor's is just simple, chic and glamorous without being too formal. Great for a date night. The skirt is in three separate attachments to make movement look more natural. Let's go dancing!

My hair is from Loq. Can't do vintage hair without some rolls, am I right? Lots of colors available, great textures, and the hair sits on two attachment points so it doesn't freakishly poke through your torso. Another win for Loq! My necklace is from Caroline's Jewelry and...yeah...I have a thing for cameos. *Strokes it like a creeper.* STAY AWAY FROM MY CAMEO! IT'S MINE! Oh. Uh. Hi. Ahem. Anyway. The skin is by yours truly at my new brand Adore&Abhor. Mango, Mango! is gone!! Goooonnneeee! I have teamed up with my Canadian all star SLwife, Airedine Poe, and am going to be making skin and makeup for her existing Adore&Abhor brand under the name Adore&Abhor Cosmetics. Wish us luck! :D

I Can't Help But Smile.

I have a secret. Usually when I take photos I take them from the waist up. Why? Because I hate trying to find shoes to wear. You have to find the right style, then it has to be the right color, then it has to fit, then you might even have to match the skin color. Ugh. Too much work. Every once in a while I will like a shoe enough to not only wear it but to actually take a photo of it and write words and stuff. The latest shoe to make me smiley-happy-writey-bloggy? Kalnins Lizette.

I am wearing the fat pack version here. It comes with a hud that allows you to change the skin tone, nail colors, metal colors and options to change three separate areas of the shoe/strap colors. There are about a kazillion color combinations you could make with the 12 color choices. I've showed a few of my faves here. The pair on the far right has the "shiny" option enabled, which gives the whole shoe a more "glossy" appearance. If you don't need ALL the colors you can choose the classic pack which comes with red, gold and black, pretty much the necessary show colors for any woman.

I found the hud to be easy and the scripts didn't lag me even when I went to take shadow pics. The classic pack is only 475L, which is a pretty dang good deal. The fatpack is 1200L which is also a pretty great deal considering you get what amounts to a bazillion gazillion shoe options. xD Oh, and the skin tinting was easy. Really easy. I wouldn't have blogged these shoes if it wasn't because if I can't get the feet tinted properly on any shoe within a MAXIMUM of 5 minutes they go in the trash. :P

This Isn't a Fashion Post

I was just hanging out at the Onyx Noir sim the other day (I have a small store there, plus the sim has Dilly Dolls main store on it, one of my fave stores in SL) and realized how adorable it is looking for the Halloween season. I took some photos and thought, heck, might as well blog them. I love how chaotic the area is, with the clashing textures, bright colors, oversize items, mismatched themes, etc. It creates this atmosphere of mild insanity mixed with a cutesy attitude.

I love this giant Octopus! Can I keep him? D:

All the small shops are in these wagons. I think they are so cute and they add to the clash of themes that makes this place so fun.

Spot the Joker

I found this Catwoman costume from Beautiful Dirty Rich on Marketplace for only 99L and it screams naughty to me. Well what is more naughty than hero knowingly seducing the villain while he should be on the job? And hey, Catowman is hot enough where she doesn't need to stick with gloomy old Batman when there are other fine DC Comics men to be had. ;D

This outfit comes with costume in all clothing layers, tattoo layer mask with many options for makeup, hair base, etc., boots and claws in options for v1 and v2 based viewers, tail, ears and more! Extremely great deal for only 99L.

Why Am I So Sad?

Curious Kitties has this super fly fab CUTE hair for free to group members! It's black and white! It doesn't poke into my boobs AND MOVES WITH ME! Why am I so sad then? Well, it turns out I have a giant head. This hair is made using mesh that is "rigged" to the avatar. Mesh can be used like sculpties (but without certain restrictions that the current sculpties have, making them look much higher quality) and sit on an attachment point like how you would wear hair/shoes/etc. now OR they can be "rigged" to the avatar. When an item is "rigged" it moves with your avatar, is basically part of your avatar's body. Then means you can't stretch it or move it to fit your shape. When I put this hair on it only covered about half of my head LOL.

I am wearing this pouty doll shape from Savoir Faire because it fits the hair's shape perfectly. I am loving mesh hair enough from this example alone to make me want to squee! I just hope more in the future will fit my head or come with other head size options. Sigh forever!! I might eventually just make a copy of my shape and resize my av's head so I can wear this hair anyway because I am in love with b&w streaked hair.

Petticoat Power

This dress from the brand spanking new store Petticoat Lane is one of my favorite type of styles EVER. I grew up in the 90s and one of the big trends was very feminine styles with harder-edged items. One thing you saw a lot of was baby doll type dresses with big boots, ripped fishnets, etc. I loved this look soooo much! I took that idea and made it softer, a bit more romantic, to keep it up to date. The dress comes in lots of colors and also has a fuller, flexi option for the skirt if you are not one for the sculpted skirt alone. I've blogged these boots from lassitude and Ennui before but they remain one of my all time faves.

I wanted to share a close up of the hair and skin since they rock so hard. The skin with tattoo layer teeth is from Cupcakes and I plan to show more of this skin in my next post. The hair w/hat is from Vaughan's House of Curiosities. The hat is color change so you can wear it with lots of stuff.

Yay puns! I am so excited for Marleen Vaughn, the creator of now-closed Marly's, to be creating again. Some of the very first items I bought in SL were from Marly's so it was sad to see it close a while back. Thankfully she has reopened with Vaughan's House of Curiosities and the items are better than ever!This is juts a quick snap of one of the items available. I will certainly be sharing more!! I love the quirkiness and the retro vibe, something that makes me feel like a person wearing Vaughan's might have been buddies with Dali. Love!

I have been wearing this dress around and it seems to suit my slightly crazy-odd-girly mood lately. Blue Blood makes some of the best dolly dresses around and red and black is one of my fave color combos ever! I love this uneven pigtails hairstyle from BC322. Anything odd makes me day! You can't see the tattoo makeup from Miss Shippe's studio very well in this photo but it's a really interesting thing that I can see being used for a ton of different styles and, hey, it's free!

Something That Excites Me!

Wow, what a lame title! But guess what isn't lame...Yabusaka's mesh head generator!! Basically this is a way to show you how their mesh heads are going to look. First, you go HERE. You choose a skin brand (male and female options, woot!) and download a little thingy that takes like 2 seconds. Then you putz around for an hour getting it to look the way you want it. I decided I wanted kind of a cartoony-cute version of my RL appearance, since I have NEVER been able to recreate my face shape with the SL av. What can I say, I have a kookie face. Anyway, this is what I got:Pretty rad, right!? So then I was like super, super bored and decided to mess around and make it look more like myself. I added some glasses and some hair using textures from HERE and somewhere else I can't remember but I will try to track it down! Yeah, I know, I suck at adding stuff to pictures like this rofl but hey you get the basic idea.For reference here is my RL picture. Yeah, don't judge me. It's like the worst lighting ever and kind of old but I think it matches the picture above fairly well. :P Anyway, as you can see it's not a perfect match (I wish my eyes were that adorable!) but it's WAY closer than I have ever been able to get with the SL mesh av. I was trying to put an outfit together for this fabulous hair from Miamai for over an hour. I have no idea how many things I tried on. When I was between outfits, nothing on but a red lipsticked skin, I thought "This is it. It doesn't need anything else." The hair would, of course, look amazing with gowns, slinky red carpet-worthy dresses, burlesque wear, various role play styles and much more; however, the style is so sophisticated, so well thought out, original but still with a classic feel, pretty much so flawless that you really don't want to focus on anything but the style.This style comes in options to be worn with or without the eye makeup. I am wearing the eye makeup from the "Lena" style, though this is the "Lenoira" style. The eye makeup for Lenoira has a more green/teal coloring.

Whole Bunch of Awesome

Today I have a few wonderful things I would like to share. The main thing being the new skin, Yolande, from Adam N Eve. When I put it on I felt really...well..cool! I paired it here with one of the Hair Fair styles from BC322. Yay!Here I have paired the base skin with one of the hair styles from RezIpsa Loc. The style makes the skin seem sweet and natural, even if you wear the super cleavage. ;DI chose a few of my fave makeups from the skin line to share, two lipsticks and two eyeshadow styles, though there are many more offerings.Here I wanted to show the body because it's really nice! The body is much softer than some of the previous offerings from AnE. I especially love the booty!There are more tones available, including one that is very dark, which is kind of rare in SL. Each tone includes base skin, ten tattoo makeups, cleavage option, hair base tattoo option, and six mani/pedis to match the lip color options. Each tone is 1800L and with all the makeup combinations you get it's like an incredibly cheap fat pack!

She's a Maniac!

The new hair from Amacci turned out a bit different on my shape than I expected and the skin was a different tone than I expected...but how win is this look??Sometimes when you try different things you end up with something fun and different. So, Flashdance it up!! The hair has nice bounce and works well with a black hair base, though one isn't included. The skin has gorgeous lips. I don't wear pales this dark usually but the lips are just too wow.P.S.- Do you know the original version of the "maniac" song people always think of when they think of Flashdance was originally about a serial killer? The lyrics were something like "He's a maniac, maniac, at your door..." Just a random fact, haha.

New and Cheap and Awesome.

WOO! New L. Fauna release. :D More about that in a second. I wanted to quickly show this dress from AuTre. It's not a new release but it's on sale for 40L for a bit and I think it's a very under blogged, quirky, fun store. I also wanted to mention my awesome hair. It's from Exile at the Chic Birthday event. It has roots and streak options as well as plain.

Now onto the skin! This new line from L. Fauna is a bit softer than the last line and I really like that. The skin comes with tintable brows, freckle option and three cleavage options. There are many tones to choose from but here I am only showing the lightest, a medium tone and the darkest. I really like most of the tones. My only criticism for this line would be that the darkest tone seems to have a slight purple/blue sheen. I tried a few lighting settings and it was there but it may just be my screen.

I'm a sucker for a sweet face

If you haven't been to the Skin & Shape Expo yet, well, why the hell not?! It closes on the 20th, so you need to get down there... yesterday!

Dany is the newest release from Adam n Eve (finished just in time for the sim opening!) and she is absolutely, positively worth braving the lag. I'm a sucker for a sweet face and Dany has one. She also has light brows which are perfect for those of us who wear silver, white, and even platinum blond hair.

She has a hot body and a rather cute dimples above her caboose.

The base skin is simply beautiful and would be enough for me, but she comes with a TON of options on the tattoo layer including 4 eye shadows, 6 lipsticks, different colored eyebrows, pubic hair, and hair bases (black, brown, red), manicures, and pedicures. The makeups are striking and there are options for every outfit. There are also cleavage options for those of you who use them (I don't.)

It's a Fantasy

I've been thinking about tolerance a lot lately, ever since there was an argument on Plurk centered around religious discrimination. I started to think how it would be great if we could all be the same and then stopped myself and realized that would not be great at all. The differences we have that make us unique are amazing and when people can agree to disagree and work together peacefully, well, that is truly beautiful. My dream, my fantasy, is for us all to better embrace our differences and focus on what makes us the same, how we can get a long, how much love we can give.

While that is not the sort of fantasy one would find at the Fantasy Faire, there is a lot of beauty, charity and many different themes all together in one place. There are items at the Faire to benefit Relay For Life, an organization that raises money for cancer research. Cancer is something that affects everyone, every race, every religion, every sexual preferences, every age. We all can suffer from it and we can all work together to try and find a cure. We are all human and in that word, human, there is pain, loss and suffering but there is also hope, love, compassion and beauty. Whether or not you come to the event to support charity or to buy gorgeous works of art to wear on your avatar, you will be surrounded by beauty and difference. Hopefully that will inspire you to be more positive and to try and full fill the fantasy of true peace in the world.

The Muse is one of the latest clothing releases from Violent Seduction. There are options for long gown skirts, exposed breasts, lolita skirt and tons more. I wore the shortest skirt option in order to show a tiny peek of the adorable bloomers below it.The skin is a new release from Tacky Star. It's hard to find a totally white skin in SL that doesn't look completely flat and they are great for doll avs! I wore an L. Fauna red lipstick tattoo over it because I just felt my creepy dolly lady needed a splash of blood red color.

Imabee Looking Fine In My New Skins

Imabee has a new skin line out right now called Miranda. When I first tried it on and saw the little red cupid's bow lips I knew I had to make an homage to silent films. So...I did!The skins themselves though are very modern and clean. The line is much more polished than previous lines from Imabee and you can really tell that the creator is becoming more talented and skilled each new release. There is a variety of eye makeups and each comes with lipstick tattoo options, eyebrow color options and prim lashes.The bodies are very soft and come with regular and big boobies. You can choose from four tones and the fat packs of each tone are only 3000L!! Of course you don't have to buy a whole fat pack but dang that is affordable.OK! I think you have enough detail now to know that you must run and buy these. So here go the SLurls!

I am really enjoying the new skin line from Natural Beauty! The store was previously known as Tik Tok but has recently rebranded.The Olga line has very rich skin tones and fits many shapes. My favorite part of the skin is the nose which has very unique shading. I chose my two favorite makeups from the line as well as the base skin to share with you as closeups.Each skin come with or without cleavage. Definitely check it out and keep a look out for what I am sure will be great future releases. OK. Never actually been to the desert other than in Second Life and if I was in a hot desert I probably wouldn't be wearing a sweater. That's the beauty of SL though: no sunscreen needed and no being over heated! It's never too cold to look cute. This new dress from Deviant Girls, shoes from Dilly Dolls, and skin from JeSyLiLo make for a great look for any season.The new skins from JeSyLiLo are perfect for the season. They are soft and feminine and have that flushed "been in the snow waiting for my boyfriend to pick me up and take me out to dinner" look. The bodies come in matte and shiny versions which is a great option to have when you like to take lots of photos and need options.The makeups have lots of shine and lean toward the pastel colors. Winter releases tend to have dark, matte makeups generally but the glimmer and gloss on these should be appreciated by those attending holiday parties as well as those living in countries currently having their summer.I am showing several different makeups but there are more tones and options and each makeup includes a hair base and cleavage option as well. I know I recently blogged skins from JeSyLiLo and I try not to post too much of one store in a row but this new line is so adorable it really needed to be shown!

I got a bunch of pieces I adore yesterday and want to share.My muffler is from Deviant Girls, one of my fave stores in SL. The frayed edges of the fabric and the oversize safety pin are excellent touches. The dress is by Acid & Mala for the FTLO winter event. It comes with many options for skirt and neckline.My shoes are a new release from Lassitude & Ennui and...wow. They are gorgeous! Not that I would expect anything less from this brand. I have been shopping there since I was a newbie and am not going to stop any time soon.

Blue Blood has a new release out and, as always, it's lovely. I am wearing the red color with the lolita skirt option but there are other options as well. Only 100L and transferable for gifting!The dolly key is from Dilly Dolls. Emo cat makes me giggle so hard. All the parts of the key can be recolored, even the eyes and nose.The shape I am using is a new release from Savoir Faire Shapes. They make great specialty shapes, such as dolls, as well as more traditional styles.

I never thought I would wear a shirt with prim boobs. Let's be real here and say that most stores selling prim boob clothing are...skanky. I'm not saying these shirts from Violent Seduction are for black tie events or anything but they sure are cute, haha!Anyway, the shirts are fairly easy to fit, the underboob is easy to tint and if you already own skins by Violent Seduction then they match perfectly right off the bat. Hybie and I did a sort of trailer park theme for kicks but really you can wear this to clubs, for photos or any sort of naughty fashion-requiring event.

The new Xmas skins from JeSyLiLo actually impressed me. I only do skin reviews on this blog of skin lines that make my eyes bug out with joy when I see them. This is one of them! It's a perfect winter skin.The bodies have a matte or shine option as well as cleavage/no cleavage. The tummy and breasts are very soft. The faces are just jaw-dropping. The lips have an awesome shine and the eyes are almost cat-like in their shape. You can also have options for blush, dimples, etc., some of which are shown here. You also have the option of hairbase or no hairbase. Love it!Go down and try a demo, you might fall in love with Xmas this year.

New releases from Violent Seduction and Blue Blood!The Alchemy dress from Violent Seduction actually comes with a mad awesome jacket but I thought it would be fun to show it with this great new jacket from the Kendra outfit by Blue Blood so you can see how it can be mixed and matched. Plus it looks cool with my fave boots :PThe skin from Tacky Star is available as a cheapie for only 50L! I rarely change my shape but the Sileny shape from Savoir Faire shapes just fits me so well. Not sure if she actually made it with me in mind but dang the Sileny name works since it fits me really well!

There may be typos in this post. It is FREEZING where I live and I am shivering but still trying to type, lol! Why bother making a post when you have to be all uncomfortable to do it? That's probably what you are thinking. Well, the reason is...NEW SKIN FROM CUPCAKES!!This skin line comes in the tones we all love, three of which (Whisper, Cream, and Copper) are shown above. The skin also comes with cleavage and "regular" options which is seriously a must have these days.This skin has so many features and a lot of WOW! BAM! AWESOME! You can see me wearing the black eyebrows on the tattoo layer at the end of the post; however, if you like blonde, red, etc. brows, a different style of eyebrows (there are three), or no eyebrows at all (my favorite option, as shown in the rest of the pics) then you can have those too!! My only complaint about these skins is that I would love more non-tattoo layer eyebrow options for us non-2.0 using lamers, hehe.The makeups are fabulous, as you can see. There is everything from natural, to pin-up, to super goth! Not shown here but also released are fantasy makeups for you fairy type folk :D I looove the glossy lip and the nose on these skins. I have been a big supporter of Cupcakes skins since...um...they were called Rosemar, lol! Each release gets better.Don't forget to peek in at the necklace I am wearing!! It is a new release from Yabusaka and...guess what?...It can change what the letters say!!! How cool is that? A lot of things I see that have customizable writing usually use bad texture change systems but this sculpted beauty makes everything look great. Of course I chose to write "Cake" on mine for this post, teehee. A fun contrast to the lace lingerie and bedroom hair I think ;D

Wear Gray 2010 is on, and it's gone off with a bang! Shoppers have been absolutely amazing with their donations, and designers have been beyond awesome with their donation items.

I love this dress from Moonshine. It's a 100% donation item, which is awesome, but the sheer panel is even better. With the right skin you can catch a sneak peek of what's underneath. (You know what I'm talking about!) It went swimmingly with these shoes from {theosophy}.

I also love these incredibly realistic eyes from Ibanez, and I can't wait to see more of Tuli's Tanya skins!

I recently adopted a barn as my main home, and I've been working on decorating it. I put the Wear Gray donation items from { what next } in them for a pleasant touch. They're so cute.

My friend Laerke sent me a link to a gorgeous dress on Xstreet. I bought it hoping it was as great as it was in the picture....it totally is!It's so romantic feeling with it's puffed sleeves, bustle, lace, and even an umbrella with holding AO. I put the top from the Lil Nipper dress from Sn@tch over it to add a bit of extra sauciness. It all goes perfectly with the hair from Miamai at Hair Fair. I was wandering around in this outfit and got two separate people asking me to tell them where the hair was from because they wanted to get it right then. :)

A Lovely Strand

The Strand is a brand I had never heard of prior to Hair Fair. I am glad to know them now though! The styles are very elegant and well sculpted. The textures are soft and shiny, the blonds are glamorous and the overall feel of the styles offered is elegant with a bit of whimsy.I recommend these styles for all you fancy updo needs :) The dress is a freebie from Ivanka Akina at Hair Fair. It comes with a sculpted rose decoration on the belt but I am not wearing it in the photo. I love the little lace bolero! The skin is an amazing hunt gift from CStar and while you can't see it well in the photo because of the sepia treatment just know it has bright colors, great cleavage and is well made all in all.

I am doing one of the awesome new blogger challenges lined up, this one being to show off items we have had for one or more years! With so many people coming and going in SL a year can be a pixel lifetime. I buy multiple items *every day* so often even old favorites get lost in the inventory vortex of doom.I had to bust out this outfit by Artilleri since I have had it for over three years. Yes, THREE years, and it still looks better quality than most new releases from other stores. This is quite a feat! And, well, look how cute it makes me butt look :D
The skin is one from Chai, which is owned by the same owner as L. Fauna. Chai skins were early favorites of mine and I have had this bad boy since 2008. I think I have every makeup in several tones from this particular skin line xD I added some "modern" cleavage to it from Ayumi because my current av is kind of flat chested and it looked weird with the low cut shirt >.> This skin line is still a favorite of mine, years after it was released.

A couple weeks ago I found out that my friend of nearly a decade died of a drug overdose. While I was doing the Beat Clash hunt it reminded me of our old punk rock days, going to dirty basement shows, sitting on the floor against brick walls, drinking cheap beer, not caring if the music was good as long as it was loud.I decided to do a look that resembled her as a little tribute. It might seem silly to do an SL fashion blog post about a lost RL friend but considering how much time I spend on this cartoon life I think it's fitting I remember her in this one as well as the real one.I am going to miss you even though we didn't see much of each other at the end there. You always made me laugh and you always wore the silly corsets I made you. Hope you're in a better place now.

I have been in love with this dress from Deviant Girls for a while now and when I realized I hadn't blogged it I was like :O Must blog it now!The detail is amazing. The skirt is made from feathers, hangers, and all sorts of tossed away items a strange crow might use for a nest. The neck piece is lovely and doesn't remove my necklace when I wear it! Like all Deviant Girls items this dress is full of detail and the quality is far above par.

I finally went to the Potter's Field event and wow....I was so impressed!! Everything there is so gorgeous.
One of my fave finds in the Mistress outfit from Djinn & Tonic. The clothes remind me of some sort of old sci-fi movie alien woman. This is always a good thing.The parasol makes the whole thing feel very surreal. Are the candles on top forever lit in honor of her lost love?

Yeah, I've got a serious love thing for the new line of dark skins from Adam n Eve. They're my absolute favorite skins to date. There are 4 tones available from a buttery toffee to a deep, dark chocolate, all of which are expertly made and absolutely beautiful. (This is tone 3.) There's an awesome selection of makeups and I love them all, which *never* happens. (My weaknesses are natural skins and skins with red red lips, and this skin has both!)

I also love my Clawtooth hair, and this Haven Designs dress I picked up a few weeks ago, and this dainty jewelry from Monkee and... and... Yeah, I'm just in love with everything.

My pal grabbed the free Umeko skin from Imabee and was all :O:O:O I need more! She bought both fat packs right away. This is the power of the Imabee skin. Once you get a taste you always want more!The skin gets lots of raves for its fabulous cleavage layers but not enough about the cute butt! Look at that behind! I feel like a pin-up :DThere are lots of options for this skin, from light to dark brows, freckled and not freckled, as well as the cleavage layers on shirt and undershirt layers.My favorite tone is "stem" which I am wearing here. I also am wearing the light brows option and have switched back and forth between freckled and not. Many stores have offered up new, exclusive, discounted or themed products. One of my favorite items in the fair so far is this skin from CStar!The bodies on the skins are incredibly detailed, especially the cleavage which is PERFECT. There are so many shades, really a shade for everyone. I am only showing *some* of the shades because I didn't want to overwhelm you all with the amazing quantity of choices!Here is a close up of the face in four tones. I am loving the fact that the skins come in not one, not two, but around SIX tones which would work well for our chocolate ladies because it's not often that you find store that pays as much attention to the darker skins as they do to the pale and tan!Like all CStar skins these are limited edition so get them while you can!

Tuli! Zomg! Jade! Woo!

If you can't tell by the title I am *very* excited about the new skin line being released May 28th, 2010 by Tuli. The line is called Jade and is a combination of Hope and Eva.I am showing some of my favorite makeups in my favorite tone, tone 1. The makeups range from simple and classic to wild and bright. As a total skin freak who changes skins several times a day I must say I love the variety in options available to me from the Jade line.The remaining four tones are shown below. Each tone is gorgeous and rich, the light tones aren't washed out and the darker tones aren't too gray or orange. There are so many options in this line. Besides things like the classic light and dark eyebrows, there is an option which is fairly unique of having *three* cleavage options. There is the "regular" cleavage, the pushed up super cleavage, and an option for a flatter chest.All in all this skin line is sure to be one of the best of the year and should be quite popular.

The new Lucy 2 skins have arrived at Imabee!! These are my fave Imabee skins so far. I have found them flattering on most shapes I own (which is a lot seeing as I own a shape store :P) and the makeups are, in general, universally flattering as well. I also love the option have no cleavage or cleavage. Sometimes you want big 'uns and sometimes you want little 'uns.I took pictures of my fave makeups in the two lightest tones. I rarely ever do neko posts because it's just not "me." I am, however, a major shape shifter so when I saw this cute tail and ears for free from *Dreams* I was like I am going to surprise Sanura with a blog post!Putting together this look made me feel saucy and...well...hot! I think I made the neko look "me" and that means a lot. I love that the tail is skinny because the floofer ones always make me think of Pony Girl tail butt plugs. Heh. I understand some people want to be fluffy kitties though and there is a poofy version for them :DThe boots....man....THE BOOTS. Ugh My Aching Back

I found a giant bear. He decided to ride on my back because he hurt his paw. I was mad at first but we have become good friends.Though my back is really beginning to hurt...I love this bear though for real. It is quite and attention getter! It is available in several patterns and is color change to match your outfit. It also comes with an AO so you don't have to worry about your AO not working with the bear. The skin is a new release from Nuuna's and I must say I am in lurve. Lots of makeups varieties in this and only 299L for the whole shebang. A 10L version in green makeup too!

Grim Bros. has so many release at alt fair! I want to show you them all but time constraints = sadness. So here is one of my faves!The Emerald Lili dress comes complete with hat and heels and is in my favorite color, emerald green. 100% of the revenues from this outfit go to Nothing But Nets. Can you beat that? Well you can't really beat 100%, though you can match it...and Material Squirrel is also donating 100% of the amazing, limited edition Ondine wings! At only 199L these wings are a steal. Even the Iren skin (which is gorgeous and only 300L!) is giving 100& of proceeds to charity!
